In most surveys you see,Connecticut is listed as the richest state in the union.Wealth usually means IQ.So I see CT as being at least somewhat less likely to elect the likes of Baldwin (or Frankenstein) than MN would be.
And for the record...yes,what I've said might sound "elitist".But I'm *not* from CT...or wealthy...or possessed of a particularly high IQ...or intending to insult MN which,I know, has many fine residents.
The country is soundly Socialist right now. I dont know how we are going to wean these people from government largess and the nanny state. Our stuff is paid for, 10 year old vehicles (no, Im not about to buy a new car, screw that with todays economy), we live within our means, always have, do without for petes sake instead of going into debt.
We are in this for the long struggle, Im in my late 60s, this fight has only just begun for middle America, they just woke up, well, SOME just woke up but its a start. Dont be afraid, CLEAN HOUSE!

Right, people are waking up! I agree this is a long term fight. I also think we need to be wise and retain the good Congress people. I understand that you are expressing a sentiment..
It’s important to highlight the truth that a good portion of the Republican party is Conservative.

LOL, I didn't take it as such. I don't mean to insult MN (though Minneapolis/St Paul has taken lefty to a new level) - though I wonder why, oh why Franken... - and hope CT can avoid the same fate.
I’m always amused by the thought that Jerry Bruckheimers’ lawyers decided just how much they could afford to make the puppets look like the real people.
And how much they couldn’t.
Baldwin will fit right in with Obomma and the socialist demonrat party, and he knows a lot about health care!
Alec Baldwin is GOD! in “Malice”

Yup...Connecticut.Yes,much of Westchester County is very wealthy as are the Hamptons. And yes, many Californians are wealthy. But the most heavily populated region of CT (Fairfield County) is just one big suburb of NYC...and a *very* rich suburb at that.
I think that the fact that CT reelected a semi-sane Lieberman instead of that worthless piece of excrement,Lamont, suggests that I might just be right about Baldwin. But only time will tell.
Very good SeattleBruce, thanks. Many, many years ago I passed through your area and managed to spend a little time there (Navy stuff—to and from Alaska), what beautiful country, pretty drizzly though!
Being from droughty Texas I was easily impressed with folks living in what I thought must be heaven, water, streams, mountains, snow, etc., etc. Kinda like the dumbstruck Texas kid looking at mountains and bays while some cynical pick-pocket takes his last penny, but I enjoyed it anyway...
Kim Cougar Basingercamp?
I think you might be onto something there ... I’ll be happy to listen to her sing as long as we’re in bed together, LOL.

After Franken, nothing will surprise me.
So - once again - why wasn’t that remark considered a death threat against a member of the US Congress?
Why were no Secret Service agents dispatched to bust Baldwin’s chops???
These people are truly, truly vile and contemptible.
Bruce, here is somthing on RI
