Frank Lay, Pace High School principal, and Robert Freeman, the school's athletic director, will appear on criminal contempt charges for offering public prayer in a public school. The administrators face up to 6 months in jail and a $5,000 fine for offering a mealtime prayer. Lay and Freeman go on trial today at a federal district court in Pensacola for breaching the conditions of a lawsuit settlement reached last year with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). By violating the court order, the two are in danger of being found in contempt of court.

“offering a mealtime prayer in a public school.”
And exactly *how* were the children in attendance harmed?

I’ll answer that myself:
there weren’t any.

This is absolute madness. The insanity that is taking over this country has to be stopped.
What’s the matter with Christians these days. No where does the bible say not to fight against evil.
Too many interpret ‘turning the other cheek; to mean lay down and die. that is NOT what it means. That applies ONLY when living in a Christian community, NOT when Satan’s pagan hordes are trying to destroy us.
Will Christians be cast into prison by an unelected judge at the behest of a group that represents less than 2 percent of the US population? Religious Freedom is the First Freedom. If these men are imprisoned, it raises questions about the very legitimacy of our Federal Courts.

See #6, I was familiar withe setting. Was just making a point.
It does not take much of a stretch of the imagination to see a staff member walking along a hallway and humming a a religious song or softly saying prayer to himself to see another arrest.

This whole thing is ridiculous, but six months in jail would seem like child’s play compared to men this age losing their entire pensions. Unreal.

This is not going to go over too well in Pensacola. There is a strong Christian community there, and that is besides Pensacola Christian College. No children present - this will be interpreted as a direct assault on Christianity by
Fedgov.

Seems I recall a man named Daniel who was forbid to pray? Things worked out quite well for him when he disobeyed the order.

Can they keep their pensions if they make a sacrifice to a Pagan god like they were Marcellus (Richard Burton) facing Caligula (Jay Robinson) in The Robe?
