(Milwaukee Mayor) Barrett to Make First Public Appearance (Since Beaten by thug)

According to yesterday’s paper, he was beaten — not with an ordinary pipe — but with a collapsible POLICE Baton! 4 or 5 teeth were knocked out of the Mayor’s head. Hand was smashed requiring surgery. Multiple hits on his body. Ribs broken? not sure about the ribs.

The sight of the mayor pulling a concealed carry handgun might have stopped the perp right there. If not, I don't think the mayor needed to go though the pain and suffering.

But liberals are different, perhaps the mayor enjoyed getting beat up. (/s)

Well hopefully this knocked some sense into him (no pun intended) but still you have to respect the fact that he went to stop the guy

Just a note that hasn’t been mentioned previously — the Mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett, is a former Congressman from Wisconin. I believe his district was sacrificed in a previous reapportionment. His term in Congress seems to have been forgotten.

And the news is that the weapon was not a metal pipe, not a collapsible police baton, but a tire iron - lug wrench combo that the perp had brought to smash out the windows of the baby's grandmother's car. Instead, he beat the mayor about the head 5 or 6 times and the body. The Mayor is lucky to be alive, even if he is a Dem. Perp could face up to 30 years in prison, but nobody expects him to receive that sentence. The Mayor's worst injuries are to his hand. He's already had 2 surgeries to repair and he faces several more.
