President Obama to pitch health care reform plan during town hall-style forum in New Hampshire

Hours before Obama was to arrive at Portsmouth High School Tuesday afternoon, the road leading to the event site was lined with people - about 100 supporters of Obama's health care overhaul on one side and about half as many opponents on the other.

"I'm here because I'm an American, I believe in free speech and I'm scared to death," said Barbara Taylor, 65, of Exeter, N.H.

She arrived at 7:30 a.m. and was soaking wet from a severe downpour earlier in the morning. The rain had blurred the red ink on the sign Taylor carried: "Hands Off Our Health Care."

On the other side, Linda McVay held her own sign calling attention to Americans without health insurance. She said her son has been without insurance since losing his job in November.

Obama is prepared for possible disruptions Tuesday, said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, appearing on television talk shows.

"I think what the president will do is turn to that person and probably ask them to be civilized and give them an answer to their question," Gibbs told CBS' "The Early Show."

Concerns over Obama's proposal are heating up meetings, chat rooms and radio shows, driving his approval numbers down and threatening the future of his signature issue. While Congress is in recess for the month of August, lawmakers are hearing from frustrated constituents worried about government's role in health care and the costs of an overhaul.

"There's a lot of fear out there," said Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, a New Hampshire Democrat.

this one comment in the comment section below the article says it all....

Now I see the photos - look at the professionally printed signs being hoisted by the pro-Socialized HealthCare crowd as compared to the homemade signs being carried by the anti group of folks.

If the anti group is part of a vast right-wing organization as Speaker Pinocchiolosi would seem to suggest, why is it that their signs are all homemade, while the vast majority of the signs held by the Acorn / SEIU folks appear to have been supplied to them by their puppet masters?

We live 16 miles from Portsmouth, NH and I can tell you that the "Town Hall " event in Portsmouth, NH was a totally scripted phony "by invitation only event" that could only be attended by those who were given tickets. The hall was packed with democrat operatives and real American public was not permitted to enter.

The little girl who questioned Obama at his "Health Care Forum" was a Democratic plant! (proof enclosed) =

Please research this and come to your own conclusions

The White House, apparently sensitive to the potential for bad optics, put out an advisory to the media that said tickets were made widely available to the public. But interviews with ticket-holders suggested a large portion were handed out to participants who were likely to be friendly to the President’s position.

“I fully support it,” said Matthew Murray, 31, an air traffic controller from the Nashua area who said he obtained his ticket from the AFL CIO. Mr. Murray, a diabetic, said the cost of his medical supplies have been steadily increasing. He is hoping the Obama plan will help. “Any minor burden it puts on my taxes would be worth it,” he said.

The second person “randomly” selected to ask a question was a young girl called Julia Hall from Malden MA (asks question at 29m:25s).

Julia read the following question off a piece of paper: “As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us”.

This randomly asked question gave Obama the perfect opportunity to dismiss talk about “death panels that will pull the plug on Grandma” and to blame Republicans for everything. Over on the town hall comments thread AtomicPunk09 discovered someone on facebook who might possibly be Julia’s mother and had a photo of her with Obama:

http://www.facebook.com/people/Kathleen-Manning-Hall/1545820503

All old information and it cannot be proven that Kathleen is Julia’s mother, right????

Hold on, look who is sitting next to Julia in the video:
