My point is that it does not happen everywhere, which is the point of this article.

The article doesn't imply that it's everywhere, just that it's out there and parents need to check it out for themselves.

I live in NoVA and that’s why my kids have never spent a day in public schools, but rather have attended catholic school from preschool on. Not every school district is going to be politicized, but the author of this piece lives in this area and is writing in the Washington Times, so it makes perfect sense, given the ridiculous stuff that has been tried here. Far too many parents remain oblivious to what is going on in their kids schools and that’s why she is writing, to raise consciousness of the problems.
