“Shutdown” is a noun.
They mean “shut down.”
I wish all these people who login, logout, cleanup, etc., would just shutup until they learn to spell.

With "cleanup", you have a point.
I regularly use terms from the Jargon File at work. That's stuff you are expected to know in IT.
The English language changes over time. Mrs. Altair is fond of "lobat" (derived from the low battery indicator on cell phones) as in "Altair V2 is lobat, he's ready for bed." I think I posted an article here about that when it became an official Philippine/English word.

I just hope they vote third party conservative in the coming elections. This country is in big trouble and spelling won’t fix the moral and economic collapse of America.

Heavy dew - phrase. A request for action.
Usage: “Kin I heavy dew me a favor?”
Gummit - noun. A bureaucratic institution.
Usage: “Them gummit boys shore are ignert.”
