inflation now would help. It would increase home values and stop everyone from going under water. We are in an asset deflation!
The country is in a margin call, as the assets drop and the debt doesn’t. I do not know why they haven’t done that. Monetize more of the debt (by buying it with new money.)
The Germans are largely at fault. They insist on keeping the EURO strong. Stupid. Germans don’t care if there’s a depression. They will just deport their guest workers.
