About 200 people, many members of the so called "tea party" movement in St. Louis, held a peaceful protest outside the offices of the Service Employees International Union Saturday, demanding an apology after a fracas at a town hall meeting in South County Thursday night. A fist fight broke out outside a senior care forum held by Representative Russ Carnahan at Bernard Middle School. People on both sides of the health care reform issue showed up at the rally. And one individual claims he was beaten by members of the SEIU. There were six arrests.

Who wants an apology from thugs? And Katherine Sebelius should resign.
Wow. These people have nads. God Bless all of them...
Wishing for a speedy recovery for Mr Gladney, a true patriot.
When they lie to your face, it gets old, fast.
Any names taken r.e. the thugs who assaulted one freedom-loving citizen? Any arrests? Prosecution?
—and the Thug-in-Chief should be impeached.
What? No beers at the White House?
I have inhabited this planet for nearly 64 years (very early boomer) and I really cannot recall any instance of conservative activism of the current proportion.
Very proud of these people, and prouder than ever to be an American.
Yes, what I’ve read on other threads, there were arrests. I’ve seen 4 - 6 arrests cited. All of them thugs.
They realized union thugs beating up[ regular citizens...on national TV...doesn't play well in Peoria.
Otherwise, there would have been 200 union members...and 50 "enforcers" at the rally.
This was a well-known and announced protest.
At the end of the article, a union goon says he was the victim in the Gladney beating:
Meanwhile, the finger-pointing between the factions continued on Friday.
Among the injured was Kenneth Gladney, 38, of St. Louis. He said he was with the Tea Party, handing out yellow flags with "Don't tread on me" printed on them, when he was assaulted. He said he sought hospital treatment for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face.
"I was attacked for something I believe in," he said.
But Elston McCowan, an SEIU staffer, said Gladney was actually an instigator. McCowan accused Gladney of attacking him as he walked to his car. McCowan said he suffered a dislocated shoulder.
"Out of nowhere, the guy just assaults me," said McCowan, 47, of St. Louis.
Something is going to give, and so help me God, it will not be the liberty, constitution, and way of life my forefathers sacrificed their life's blood for.
The liberal-left and Obama seem intent on turning the frustration and angst of the American people over his policies into something more akin to Iran over this issue, with their own Basij thugs sent out to silence us, and Obama supporters called on by the Whitehouse to report any dissent.
They have already started intimidating, attacking and beating people at townhalls who want to question their representatives over this monstrosity health bill. That is not going to work here. It will backfire on them and ultimately they will be held accountable.
We are not only aware of our rights and the sacrifices that have vouchsafed them for us, but we are also unwilling to submit to thugery and tyranny, and will use all means to prevent it and stop it.

Neither can the Dems... that's why they're calling it astroturf, nazism.
You were wrong.
"Out of nowhere, the guy just assaults me," said McCowan, 47, of St. Louis."
Sorry you lying goonball. The whole thing is on video.
Don’t suppose we’ll ever see medical records for this supposed dislocated shoulder, but maybe someone can have a little visit with Mr. McGowan and see how his punching arm is doing.
The SEIU needs to be sued out of existence, its leadership jailed under organized crime statutes, and its chain-of-command traced back to Chicago and beyond.
Only a gangster or a dupe would belong to this group of denutted ‘tards.
