Not AG...Govenor Crist runs for the Senate and Senator McCullom runs for Governor.
Jeb would be great... would Crist have to appoint him or is there a chance that could happen?
If this is true it would be fitting—one of Mel’s last official acts would be his vote for Quota Queen Sotomayor.
Open the borders and throw away the key and support judicial activists on the bench.
Thanks for the memories, Mel.
How about you and Jorge Arbusto getting together for a joint biography?
You said, “Crist runs for McCullom’s job.” McCullom is AG.
He is probably quitting because he is running for Governor
Florida does not allow you to keep a political office while actively running for another
Heard Martinez in an interview yesterday following the Sotomayor confirmation. Martinez made some asinine remark about the “evolving Constitution.” I was appalled, and thought he couldn’t get out of the Senate fast enough. Today’s news is good news.
“Crist will probably appoint a rat.”
He may appoint his conservative primary opponent (Rossio?)
Dunno about Martinez, but if it is Crist you are talking about...if it isn’t homo, it isn’t homo sapiens.
Yes, there is! Marco Rubio is a strong Conservative.
Fox News has it as breaking on their web page.
That rule does not apply to federal elected office (e.g. U.S. Senate, U.S. House, POTUS). Oh puhleeze, don't let Martinez ever consider running for POTUS...
What a waste !! This worthless Pedro Pan Traitor needs to leave he wore out his welcome years ago.
Rubio is just as Hispano-Racist and pro-illegal alien as Mel Martinez
While speaker of the Florida house...Rubio killed a bill that would have allowed Florida to use E-Verify. The bill definitely would have passed, but Rubio killed it
Rubio is a pro-illegal alien liberal...no different than Martinez

I think I get what you meant now.
why would Crist appoint someone he probably can’t beat, to a seat he wants?
What?!?!? The MSM isn’t complaining about how Mel is a quitter, and how he betrayed the people that voted for him???
Too bad Lugar won’t do the same.
I think he’s done with politics. He never did seem to relish what he was doing.
