Totally agree. Cant believe the mental gyrations people are going through over a picture of a document that could be anything .
Well our president is certainly evidence of that, isn’t he?
Agreed, but this one is a hell of a lot better done than the stuff rather tried to pawn off five years ago. It’s even better than the factcheck COLB everyone holds up as definitive proof. Still I agree it’s not going anywhere.
“Christian” name??
Gracias!
This cant be another April Fools joke? Ive already been taken in by the fake Barry Soetero Occidental Collage financial aid disclosure.
More likely British English. Remember, Kenya was an English colony, and MAY still be part of the British Commonwealth. Obama's daddy was a British citizen.
“FREE THE LONG FORM!”
“If someone were raised immersed in American culture, including Christianity and respect for the founding fathers and the Constitution/Declaration of Independence, and yet was not actually born an American citizen, his being barred from seeking national office by the constitutional requirement for the president to be a natural-born American would be a technicality.
As it is, Mr. Obama was raised outside the country by an American woman who was not motivated by patriotism in the way she raised her child and placed him in schooling which was not simpatico with Christianity. That being the case, the fact - if such it be - that he was entitled at birth to American citizenship is what is the technicality.”
Huh?
Neah. He got imprisoned, then run out by the Kenyans.
Which, of course, should make even a non-”birther” wonder...
That too. Not exactly an Americanism is it, Dustbunny?
The Birthers are held up for derision by the liberal media and portrayed as sore-loser Republicans that can't get the votes or the facts straight.
Obama needs this controversy because it works in his favor.
Obama may well not be an American citizen, there is strong circumstantial doubt. However, he is reality and FR and Republicans need to put their energy into issues and winning elections.
IMHO, the birth certificate is unnecessary. Its Zero's FATHER'S citizenship that's crucial to determining whether Zero is a natural born citizen or not. End of story.
Until December 12, 1963.
Chapter 6 - Citizenship - Section 87
Persons who became citizens on 12th December, 1963
1. Every person who, having been born in Kenya, is on llth December. 1963 a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies or a British protected person shall become a citizen of Kenya on 12th December, 1963: Provided that a person shall not become a citizen of Kenya by virtue of this subsection if neither of his parents was born in Kenya.
2. Every person who, having been born outside Kenya is on llth December, 1963 a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies or a British protected person shall,if his father becomes, or would but for his death have become, a citizen of Kenya by virtue of subsection (1), becomes a citizen of Kenya on 12th December, 1963.
-----
Both Zero and his father automatically became citizens of the Republic of Kenya on the same day.
Huh?Mr. Obama was raised outside the country by an American woman who was not motivated by patriotism in the way she raised her child and placed him in schooling which was not simpatico with Christianity. That being the case, the fact - if such it be - that he was entitled at birth to American citizenship is what is the technicality.
I merely point out the obvious fact that when the framers of the Constitution forbade the selection of a president who was not native born, their purpose was not to exclude patriotic immigrants from consideration for its own sake, their purpose was to prevent the elevation of a person of divided loyalties to that preeminent, and crucial, office. There are undoubtedly millions of naturalized American citizens who, if made president, would exert their utmost efforts to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Unfortunately Mr. Obama does not strike me as such a person - and that opinion would not be modified if I knew beyond peradventure that he had been born in Hawaii.
