The people pushing this black helicopter conspiracy nonsense include Orly Taitz, Alan Keyes, and WingNutDaily - all certifiably crackpotish. Why do you want to hitch your wagons to these loons? The birth certificate thing is a giant red herring, and anyone pushing it is naive at best, cynically looking to make money off of website traffic if not naive, and makes Clinton's misdirection games pale by comparison, at worst. They've learned quite a bit since then, about subterfuge via managed hysteria.
That said, I want you to look at the number of proposals in the House and Senate, by members both Republican and Democrat, since 2000, attempting to modify the natural-born citizen requirement for election to the office of President. I've counted five thus far, and still going.
Nickles of Oklahoma sponsored one, that purported to extend natural born citizen status to children born of military parents overseas. Now, why would that be necessary, in light of Senate Resolution 511? It wouldn't be. Claire McCaskill's two efforts were clearly designed to benefit Barack Obama.
Orrin Hatch's current proposal would make any naturalized citizen eligible for the Presidency, with only age and length of residency as requirements. Obama himself was co-sponsor of at least one of these.
There's an eligibility problem alright; it's known to both House and Senate, and it's known to the news media, who were not so shy of reporting upon the genuine, Constitutional issues at stake, back when it was only a Republican apparently being affected.
The moonbattery swirling around the "birth certificate" and now all the sudden, overwheliming and bizarre media spotlight on it, after stonewalling all during the election, says that this is their Clintonian "innoculation."
Let this vaccuous, yet arrogant, marxist serve out a full term, and what precedent has been set?
A lot of people are being played, here, but the game isn't quite what you seem to think.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Check out this quote by 'Charles' from LGF
Quote from Charles at LGF:
"I never saw the 9/11 Troofers as being left-wing or Democratic. As far as I could see it was a pretty non-partisan lunacy."
It appears that attacks on religion, the GOP, conservatives, global warming realists, Pro-marriage supporters are not the only thing LGF promotes these days, IMHO.
Intellectually dishonesty or sheer ignorance seems to be an extra bonus, in my opinion.
Poll after poll since 9/11 has demonstrated that Democrats, liberal politicians, and Hollywood celebrities by and large believe the US government was behind the 9/11 attacks. To say you never heard this before, is bizarre.
Examples:
1) "Members of racial and ethnic minorities, people with only a high school education and Democrats were especially likely to suspect federal involvement in 9/11."
Source: http://www.scrippsnews.com/911poll
2) "Democrats in America are evenly divided on the question of whether George W. Bush knew about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance. Thirty-five percent (35%) of Democrats believe he did know, 39% say he did not know, and 26% are not sure."

The birth certificate may be bogus as Charles says but how is he right in attacking American's who just want Obama to be 'transparent' and release his vital records like every other president before him?
By Obama refusing to release everything from his medical records to college records certainly does not bode well for presidential historians trying to document Mr. Obama.
Maybe you can answer why it is acceptable for Obama to refuse to release his college transcripts and complete medical records like all other candidates did?

328 Charles 8/02/09 11:16:26 am reply quote * 13 * down * up * report
The knuckle draggers at Free Republic have linked to this thread, with a bunch of comments calling me lots of lovely names. I've "lost my moral compass." I'm a "fool." I'm a "nitwit." I'm "shrill." Oh yes, and they're linking to me and calling me names because they want to show how "irrelevant" I am. Heh.
Charles also seems to be unable to draw the distinction between criticism of himself and criticism directed towards his blog. Charles, I still think you're a swell guy, but fairness over facts is a liberal recipe that frankly leaves me with indigestion..

That’s all Chuckles is going for now - hits on his website. Unless you’re registered there (and of course all his good members left a long time ago) you can’t leave a comment. Since he opens registration up infrequently, he gets a hit on his website, but doesn’t have to take a “hit” personally.
Of course, the minute you disagree with him - out comes the Chuckles banning stick.
