"You've got to remember I grew up on a farm,'' Deeds said. "You won't find too many candidates for statewide office who have performed surgery on cows and pigs." (For the record, Deeds told reporters later that the surgeries were the kind performed on male animals. Enough said.)

Creigh Deeds: “I’ve castrated farm animals”
We are not making this up.
LOL!! So now that is the qualification to become Governor of VA. Where do they find these people?
I don’t know, Corin that kind of experience may not be such a bad idea -— when you consider the number of horse’s a$$es there are in the democrat party.........and that’s just in Richmond :)
LOL
Maybe he could castrate the government for us.
I was just gonna say maybe we could have him castrate congress.
Either way.....it works for me!!!!!!!
And how are you lovely ladies this evening?
We just did a 4 hour stint without power -— sure did put a crimp in making dinner :(
Fine. Looking at my tomatoes and wondering if I have enough jars for sauce and keeping tabs on the survival threads.
I do need to stock up on more ammo and look into getting a fireproof safe for the house.
Somebody took care of the Republicans a long time ago...
“Creigh Deeds wants to be Governor because he’s castrated farm animals”
And that is the reason why this guy is going to get blown out this year. Even the liberal Democrats see him as nothing more than a country bumpkin. He is going to have a hard time getting his base out.
Funny. I just had dinner out with my neighbor and he said that I need a fireproof safe.
We’re OK on ammo, but I think I need a generator before a safe........
I think we all know that.....SIGH
That would be Madame Bubba with her testicular lockbox.
We need a new set of legislators whose FBI files she hasn't seen.
Is this Deeds health care platform or something?
I don’t think Deeds is going to win, but he’s by far the least worst of the three Ds that competed for the nomination in VA this year. The other two were Terry McCauliffe, and the son of Jim Moran the Rep from NoVa— both nauseating. Deeds is a fairly nice guy in spite of being a Democrat. Still a tool of the collectivists, don’t misunderstand. I’m just saying. I will be looking to point out more press hypocrisy here in VA - The press will cut him many breaks, and say that he’s got the admirable qualities of being down-to-earth and folksy, whereas, they’ll ridicule the same qualities in Sarah Palin and say that they disqualify her. The Washington Post actually endorsed Deeds during the D, VA. primary, (McDonnell (R) was unopposed) which launched him from behind McCauliffe and Moran in the polls to eventual victory. He’s from a very rural part of western VA, popular with the people of his home town, and subconciously I think The Left acknowledged that people are sick of Washington elitists when they endorsed him. Their polls were also starting to tell them Virginians didn’t want a carpetbagger like McCauliffe, and are suffering from elitist-fatigue. Though they would never admit it, they acknowledged in a way that Sarah Palin’s grass-roots origins and “one-of-us” personality is a good campaign strategy these days.
"You won't find too many candidates for statewide office who have performed surgery on cows and pigs."
I grew up on a farm too, but we never gelded our own colts. Just calves, pigs and sheep. Slit slit, squeeze squeeze, snip snip, next customer. :)
Sorry about losing power. It is a pain when that happens.
My house is on the market. One of the couples that looked at it earlier this week is coming back for a second look. I’m hoping that’s a good sign.
Next step after that is getting my life back... and a firearm. :-)
Ouch.
