Probably missionaries delivering Bibles. If it was military they wouldn't say tourists.

The Kenyan will get right to this. First ignoring it should the report be accurate. Then clowning around with the throat-slitters over a cold brew as the public demands some action. He probably will offer a token of his sincerity by suggesting we can up our charity donation to Hamas and other assorted vile steaming piles worldwide.

Have no idea how they got to Iran, but once there anything can happen.

Want to ready about how it could happen and how the trumped up charges could be brought?

Here is something similar about Roxana Saberi. Read elsewhere about this, but this article is by a lady who served time in Evin Prison for similar charges.

From msnbc.com:

Tired of Paris? How about an Iraq vacation?

By Peter Greenberg

TODAY Travel Editor
updated 2:13 p.m. ET, Thurs., Jan. 18, 2007

Tired of the beach scene in Miami? Bored in Hawaii? Seen enough of the Louvre? Worry no more. We have some trips that go way beyond mere adventure travel. These trips are to destinations you either think you can't visit, or your friends and family think you shouldn't visit. But where there's a will, there seems to be a way. There are dozens of travel companies and organizations offering trips to once — and current — forbidden destinations. Here is a sampling:

Please note: While we are not encouraging travel to any of these locations, Americans are making their way to some of these destinations. For each destination below you will need to do a lot of homework, pack a lot of common sense and know what you're getting into.

NORTH KOREA

Like most things in this hermit kingdom, travel is tightly controlled by the government. Certain windows are available for international tourists to visit, usually coinciding with the “Mass Games,” which are like North Korea’s national holiday, arts festival, and athletic competition all rolled into one.

Traveling to North Korea without a registered tour group is practically impossible and definitely NOT advisable.

Air China and Koryo Air service the two-hour Beijing to Pyongyang flight several times weekly. Pyongyang’s airport, Sunan International, is approximately 20 minutes away from the city by car.

Because most U.S. travel is legally allowed during the Mass Games only, travel dates for U.S. citizens often depends on the months that the Mass Games are held.

IRAN

The U.S. State Department has issued a warning about traveling to Iran but if you still feel the need, here are some places to check:

* Iran Gasht Tour Travel & Tour Agency offers various themed, guided tours.
* Iran Doostan Tours is an Iranian-based travel company that offers adventure and customary tours specializing in interests such as climbing, nature and various regions of the country.
* Iran Traveling Center is a tour travel company that specializes in tour packages, visa services, hotel services, transport and ticketing.
* Dal Tour & Travel Service, Inc. is a tour company that specializes in historical, cultural, custom-made and themed tours in Iran.

Hiking along the border? I suspect they were probably American lefties trying to get into Iran to show their support. These people are enormously naive because their hatred of the US blinds them to everything else.

What kind of idiot goes hiking near the border of an enemy sworn to kill us?

The Outdoor channel had a show on last year with American hunters going into Iran via tours to shoot mountain rams.

The vast majority of Iranian people were great and very friendly to the US hunters. The hunters could not believe how friendly they were from their touchdown in Tehran to the rural mountain villages.

Don't blame the whole country for it's few wackjopb leaders.
