Amen to that. And mey those who desire to destroy our constitution and republic take heed. They are going to be hopelessly out manned, outgunned, and the responsibility and accountability for treasonous acts will not go unanswered.

Jeff. Until enough Patriots decide to sit down on the Capitol steps and refuse to leave, I no longer believe we can slow, much less, reverse our headlong demise into collective socialism.

Without such an effort, all the signs and chants and small protests will be for naught. We will lose, because every day Joe-Soccor-Mom no longer cares. Many of those of us who do, are not willing to pay the price of a night in jail.

I remember you and others making a stand about the water issue in Utah? If I remember correctly, you won, because you stood firm against the authorities regarding a water channel that would have diverted the flow of water and devastate the local farmers. You stood tall against possible arrest. The county (or State?) backed down. Do I have this correct?

As I stipulated on another thread, I will pay the bail and fines for any 20 who will sit on the Capitol steps and refuse to leave. I wish I could spend more, and I wish I could be there on 9/12, but can't due to family issues.

It was Klamath Falls, Oregon, when the government decided to shut off all the irrigation water to 1500 farming families who legally owned the water rights to that water, for which the dam was built. Environmentalists had filed a suite in federal courts over the rights of the sucker fish (a trash fish like a Carpi) in the area.

The Federal Judge found for the environmentalists (and the local Indian tribe who jumped on the law suite late in the day), claiming that the level of water in the lake had to be maintained at the absolute full level in order to "protect" the sucker fish. Everyone there knew that the sucker fish could survive if the lake was drained to mud...so we fought the ruling up to an including standing against armed officers who took the head gates away from us.

Rather than stand with the legal owners, and rather than tell the Judge they would not uphold an unconstitutional and illegal "taking", the new Bush administration enforced the order.

It took several months of civil disobedience, which, miraculously stayed peaceful, to get the Bush administration (summer 2001) to recognize their deteriorating political situation over it and stand with the farmers.

THE STAND AT KLAMATH FALLS

Folks can read the original eye witness reports I made at the link to the site above. I later wrote a book about it, available at this link:

THE STAND AT KLAMATH FALLS

How Rural Farmers Stood against Entrenched Environmentalism
and the AGemcies of the Federal Government and Won

I remember that fight. DC Chapter was at the White House gates. We thought the fight was over after we counted the silverware.

Just proves that we must be vigilant at all times.

A Navy Vet is right...we are now at conditions nationally, like those at Klamath Falls in that summer of 2001.

It is going to take that same level of effort, and that same level of risk.

But given what our founders accomplished and the risk they took, and price they paid, and what countless others have preserved for us through that same level of risk and price...we know that liberty and the environment it provides for our children and grand children is worth it.

We intend to take the signatures gathered on the following petition and present them to elected and appointed officials in Washington DC in the manner that A Navy Vet describes.

A PETITION ON FACEBOOK FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RESTORATION

Would that “manner” include something like chaining oneself to the Capitol Bldg? If so, I am willing. I am going to be in DC anyway, might as well make an impression.
