Man do I get the hate mail when I bring up the subject of Barack Obama's birth certificate. Apparently White House press secretary Robert Gibbs is just as frustrated as I am about this 'birther' crowd. Yesterday he was asked what he thinks it will take to make the birthers go away.
He says, "I almost hate to indulge in such an august setting as the White House -- and I mean this in seriousness -- the White House briefing room, discussing the made-up fictional nonsense of whether the president was born in this country ... If I had some DNA, it wouldn't assuage those that don't believe he was born here. But I have news for them and for all of us: The president was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the 50th state of the greatest country on the face of the earth. He's a citizen."
Can you believe that we are six months into this presidency and there are still people out there who wake up every morning and worry about the fact that they believe Barack Obama is not a US citizen.

This country is a PERFECT example. Look how many different flavors of illegals we have here? And the quantities.
I think the rules were different back in 1961. Not everyone born in the US was automatically a citizen.
This needs to be put in chart form to make any sense of it.
Not to mention that a question cannot be "made-up fictional nonsense" in any case.

It's a question most of us can answer with a document we can get for a few dollars, if we don't already have a copy.
It's a question Obama can't, or won't, answer.

As bad as Obama is, I think he is smarter than Biden. I think that if Biden became president, this country would be attacked - hot war style - within weeks.
It is likely with Obama, eventually, but less likely.

That statement of Gibbs prove just how stupid Gibbs really is.
This administration is going to go down in history in more ways than one.
I’d like to ask Neal and Gibbs what DNA has got to do with producing a birth certificate. Not asking for a kidney, just the same piece of paper I used to get my kid into kindergarten.
But they can make it impossible to derive citizenship from them. It all boils down to whether he was actually born in Hawaii and even if he were, it may be that he cannot produce conclusive evidence that he was. Or maybe the long form has does not show Obama as the father.
Your questions are very good. But I do want to correct a few points. Ann Dunham had her child at 19. She was born in 1952 (forgive me I cannot remember the month) and BO was born in 1961.
Your references to Maya Soetro’s COLB are based on Techdude’s postings that were later discredited by Ron Polarik. Techdude then disappeared into cyberspace. I have not personally seen any other proof that Maya had a COLB from HI. But she may well have. It was not illegal at that time to register a foreign born child in HI with no documentation. There are many posts on this subject but no other proof that she actually has a COLB.
With that said, I agree with you on every other point. Release the BC, college records, medical records, adoption records....what is he hiding?
