Contempt of cop is. Not only is it a right, but considering how most cops act it's actually the reasonable choice.

That doesn't make Gates any less of a prick, but it doesn't elevate the police in any way either.

Well, if the government gets to define “disorderly” then it can define ANY speech against the government as disorderly or causing disorder. So much for the first.
