New Study Finds 66 Percent Increased Breast Cancer Risk After Abortion

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A new study done on women in Turkey who had abortions finds a 66 percent increased risk of contracting breast cancer as a result. The study is the latest to confirm that abortions cause significant adverse medical risks for women who have them, in addition to killing unborn children.

Makes sense. An induced abortion brings a sudden jolt to the system.

True or not, this is NOT an argument to use to try to end abortion.

Why not? Shouldn't women be informed of the risks?

There have been tons of studies that show the same info done in the states. MSM has quashed them all, same as any news they don’t feel fit for the public.

So they did a comparison study with women who had a miscarriage?

I don’t believe in abortion at all, but this sounds like a stretch to me.

“True or not, this is NOT an argument to use to try to end abortion.”

Why? Many of the women who get abortions only care about themselves so this should be something they could relate to.

If they found a 66% link between eating a certain kind of apple and breast cancer, you better believe the government would regulate said apple.

Keep in mind that the abortion issue isn’t about future abortions,

it’s about justifying abortions that have already occurred.

I wonder about the results of this study anyway, but even if true, it simply will not work. Besides, it’s basically an attempt to “trick” someone into not getting an abortion. Plus, all the statistics in the world are not going to change the minds of the lost. The problem is spiritual. If the fact that babies are murdered is not sufficient argument, then NOTHING is.

After conception, estrogen allows the body to maintain a pregnancy. Low estrogen causes miscarriages. Women getting abortions don't have low estrogen and thus the breast cancer connection.

They have, but the link is not as strong with miscarriages; abortion really raises the risk.

Personal Observation: Every woman I know who has had breast cancer, also had either an abortion or multiple miscarriages when they were younger. (A sample of 5)

You don’t understand human nature.

Abortion is generally a selfish act. Calling it murder, as you have, is not going to get through to many of those who have abortions.

Like winning WWII, many, many strategies and tactics were used simultaneously to win the war. This is but one tactic that will penetrate the rationalizations of those who say it isn’t murder, or it doesn’t matter if it is, because it will appeal the selfish nature of those people.

As an aside, this is but the latest of a series of studies, all of which have come to similar conclusions.

Oh I have a grasp on human nature. It is fallen, sinful, and lives for the NOW. Telling someone that they might have a greater risk of breast cancer some time in the future does not concern them NOW. They want an abortion NOW. (as far as “reasoning” goes, a tool with far greater effectiveness is showing the mothers ultrasounds of the babies they are carrying.)

Abortion is never going to be stopped by attempting to connect it with a higher risk of breast cancer (or anything else). When you have reached that point, the battle is already lost. Abortion is not the cause of our nation’s decline, it is a symptom of our nation’s decline.

Besides, the last study I saw like this showed that there was as much as 2/10ths of one percent increase in breast cancer...maybe. 66% sounds awful high to me. These people would be dropping like flies.
