I’ve read some more. If I didn’t know better, Hawaii DOH is practicing deception that could be construed as obstruction of justice at a future date, if Obama turns out to be ineligible as president.
Up till that realization, Couldn't figure out where the folks were getting ALL THAT INFORMATION they were discussing.
OTOH they could be obstructionists.
This article in now way “clears up the smoke” on Obama’s eligibility but it certainly does fan the fire.

* Assume Barack Obama born (who knows where?) on July 4, 1961.
* Obama enters Hawaii from who knows where?
* Parent, grandparent applies for COLB on August 5, 1961 saying "he was born -- unattended -- yesterday"
* COLB issued
* Vital Statistics department sends data to newspapers for announcement
* Announcement published August 13, 1961 (which it was)

There are 2 errors of some importance in this report. Anne was not 17 when she gave birth. She was 18—4 months short of her 19th birthday and therefore 4 months too young to confer citizenship. Also when speaking of a possible Kenyan birth the author says “maternal grandmother”. It was his paternal grandmother. These should be corrected because those who want to deny the eligibility problem will focus on these kind of technicalities.
