If America's insurance industry is destroyed, has anyone asked what happens to all those people that earn a living in the insurance industry? Has anyone asked what happens when America's health insurance providers no longer receives the estimated $1.8 trillion in premiums?

It is estimated that $580 billion annually goes to administrative costs. Much of that is jobs for people like you and me to administer health insurance. The rest goes into investments and the payment to health care providers. With money into investments, capital is available to the economy. With payments to health care providers, hospitals can employ people. This system would collapse when the private health insurance system is destroyed. The reason it would collapse is that it is a fragile, delicate system that has taken decades to evolve. It would be like replacing a piston to a car engine while it is running.

And, when the system collapses, what about all of the people who depend upon that system to work as well as it does? What happens to the jobs? What happens to the health care?
