Wednesday night of this week, during U.S. President Barack Obama’s press conference, Lynn Sweet, a reporter (and Washington Bureau Chief) for the Chicago Sun-Times, asked the president a question about the July 16th arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. by officers of the Cambridge, Massachusetts police department for disorderly conduct.
By now, just about everybody in America is aware of the arrest of the prominent Harvard scholar (and a professed friend of Barack Obama) and of President Obama’s declaration that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly,” this though he also admitted not knowing anything about the facts surrounding the case.
…The way in which President Obama, along with Massachusetts Governor Duval Patrick and Cambridge Mayor E. Denise Simmons handled this issue should serve to create no small amount of concern within any fair-minded American. Disturbingly, both Patrick and Simmons eagerly inserted themselves into a potentially harmful fight with their own police agencies by commenting on the situation before all facts were known, quite frankly, with Simmons handing out an apology for the actions of her own police department.
That all three politicians decided to comment upon — and condemn, to be honest — the actions of the police officers and departments involved in this issue, before reading the police report or any other statements from either the officers (found here) directly associated with the arrest or those of others called to the scene by Cambridge police sergeant James Crowley (the arresting officer) speaks volumes about the essential failure of the three to meet even the most minimal standards of evenhandedness.

Obama has always been a racial agitator. He based his campaign on the fact that he was (half) black. He’s been playing the race card his whole adult life.
Crowley should ask the Messiah for his birth certificate now that he has standing as Obama slimed him publically.

Amen, when he wanted to get into politics what did he do...he moved to Chicago and found Christianity for the first time in his life in Rev. Wrong’s church. How could anyone have believed that he was going to be “post racial”?
Obama respresents the post segregation racial order of hate doctrines, agenda and discrimination designed by the Left.
Americans had hoped that Obama was different but they would be better off believing their lying eyes when they saw him hanging with Rev. Wright, rather than the liberals’ hollow election images and promises of Utopia.
