Obama's Health Care Desperation
Entitlement Syndrome ^ | 07/20/2009 | Admin

Posted on 07/20/2009 2:24:53 PM PDT by BigKahuna

We note today that U.S. President Barack Obama took once again to the airwaves to pitch the need for an immediate — some would say emergency — fix to the way Americans receive health care. That this “fix” would completely reorder the manner and means by which the vast majority of Americans would receive that health care goes without saying.

What also goes without saying is that the President and his supernumeraries in the administration and in the Congress are becoming slightly irritated — and in some cases, hysteric — at the steadily dropping number of Americans who think that transforming (and in some cases eliminating) their traditional means of obtaining health care services is a good idea or even acceptable.

Perhaps it was last Friday’s report by the impartial Congressional Budget Office which found that the health care costs would actually INCREASE rather than decrease. Naturally enough, within hours of the CBO’s report to Congress the President was on television yet again, loudly proclaiming the essential rightness of what it is is he’s trying to convince the American people to do.

From our perspective, it looks like he’s asking Americans to eventually accept the need for higher taxes, complete government oversight of their health care and also a de facto rationing of that same health care much as is seen within the Canadian and many European versions of “national health.” Monica Showalter and the folks at International Business Daily have done yeoman work in debunking much of the claims made by President Obama and his supporters for why such a drastic reconfiguration of health care is needed almost right away. Read it here.

You know, for the vast, vast majority of Americans, there is no problem with our health care system. Just last night, my best friend took her daughter in to a top-notch pediatric hospital, they took some x-rays, gave a diagnosis, and this morning they’re back home.

I would bet that most of the problems that do exist are due to government involvement.

I’m sick and tired of hearing Obama and his Democrat lapdogs denigrate a health care system that is one of the best in the world. They’ve convinced enough Americans that health care is their RIGHT and that it should be “free”, but that doesn’t make it so.

And the enormous amount of pork he is ladling out to stubborn Congressmen to get their bribed vote is, well, criminal (and unpublicized)

the number of people in this country who actually 1) WANT health insurance, 2) can't afford it, and 3) are here legally, is relatively small. No need to reboot the entire system.

Let’s hope they got it right. Under the new plan there will be waiting periods for re-treatment...

“Are you concerned about long waiting lines for your care, as is true in Canada, Great Britain, and other nations with ‘socialized medicine?’ Here’s one just for you. On page 287 the bill mandates a waiting period if you need to be readmitted to a hospital due to an illness or injury, regardless of how serious your condition may be. If they don’t get it right the first time, you will have to wait to get re-treated.”

Thanks to the conservative media, a lot of Americans are waking up to the fact that the government messing with their health care is going to make things worse for them and they're voicing their displeasure to their congresspeople and senators - and the media. Obama probably thinks he can use his vaunted charm to talk them into abandoning their health insurance and embracing a government plan that will insure 'everybody'. Not likely.

Most folks don't want to see anyone go without health care (and few actually do) but if it means losing the care and coverage that works for them, the American people are not going to be charmed by Obama's TV pitches for a huge government monstrosity that will limit their health care options, cost more than they pay now and likely diminish access to decent health care. No thanks.

Perhaps this will be where Obama's alleged charisma finally fails to seduce Americans into following him to a socialist utopia that exists only in the mind of a Marxist.

I still see Obama, upon his return from Europe, getting in front of mics and cameras talking about all the ‘chatter while I was away’ about health care, and how by God ‘we WILL get health care reform’, etc. Get onBOARD, you slackers...step to it....

That arrogant little pencil-necked prick....I won’t say what I wanted to do while watching that puke on TV...it’d result in a knock at my door.

If Obama could only have rammed it through before people saw it he would be fine. But since he played that card too many times with the results being dismal failures he couldn’t do it again.

Now we and the rest of the world all know why he was pushing for everything so fast.

Because his policy is so devastating so quickly that people will not believe a word he says and he has lost trust in his policy.

Caution: he is still a consummate BS (Bush Syndrome) artist and we should not let our guards down for one minute.
Hammer him, every senator and congressman that we can to “KILL THE BILL”

There is no half measures here, we can’t allow this to happen in any way shape or form. No compromises!

KILL THE BILL
