If Palin wants to be the conservative standard bearer in America think she should walk what she talks?

And how exactly is she not walking the walk, bub?

So you have no issue with Palin’s lack of substance on issues, her inability to watch over what’s happening in her own family while chasing a career, her simplistic answers on policy, SCOTUS or a host of other items?

How about appearing in People Magazine glorifying their daughter’s single motherhood or showing on the talk show circuit to air out their family’s business on baby daddy?

They get a pass for their low rent behavior because people need so badly to believe in something.

You certainly are looking at it thru the MSM prism.

Have you looked at her record a a politician in Alaska?

Debbie lost a lot of credibility when she really overreacted to the film ‘Munich.’

This is why Palin is so powerful and feared. People whom we would normally listen to and read, we are now crossing off our lists because they find it necessary to go against Sarah Palin for no real reason other than the fact that she is a complete outsider. It’s remarkable. Palin embodies the antidote to our frustration with the same old insiders (Republican and Democrat) and the more they blast her the stronger her support becomes.

If the Palins took $$$ for the cover spread then shame on them.

They didn't.

It’s bad enough that Bristol gets to be one of America’s most famous baby mommies.

Famous because liberal hypocrites highlight her plight to the world, and also famous because this is an ordinary circumstance in most middle-class families.

Are people soooooooo desperate for a leader that they will keep looking the other way on these people?

Sure, if you can find anything. If not, then move so I can continue looking desperately in her direction.

So what if Sarah and the Palins are pro-life?

Yeah, those stupid pro-lifers!

Plenty of other people in America are too.

Have they been or are currently running for elective office though?

Does that qualify them to be POTUS?

I'd take my Guitar-Hero playing at 3am next-door apt neighbor over the clowns in D.C. anyday.

I really don’t have anyone yet. It’s way too early for me. A lot could change over the next couple years.

Same reason as parker, noonan and brooks supported palin initially. To win the election. After the financial meltdown, and McCain’s lame attempts, they saw the writing on the wall, and jumped ship. She’s as much of a rat as the rest. Probably voted Obama too.

You’re not allowed to publicly criticize a conservative hero.

Depends on the criticism being leveled. I don't have a problem with people pointing out some of her actual inadequacies, such as her populism and her as-of-yet to be identified stand on illegal immigration. But if you're just going to partake in Peggy Noonanesque criticism, then you have issues.

Our heroes are perfect. They do nothing wrong - it’s all the fault of the MSM and the RINOs.

It is the fault of the MSM and RINOs. When was the last time you heard a coherent advocate of conservatism since Reagan in Gov Palin?

Schlussel definitely does not belong in the same group as those three. She’s not an East Coast elitest.

You ahve strong opinions about Palin. No strong opinions about anyone else? I don’t buy it. Who did you support in 2008?

I didn’t say she belonged in the same group as those three, based on geography. She certainly can be lumped in the same category for the reason I stated.

In the end, I voted for the GOP ticket. I always do. I really wasn’t enthusiastic about any of the GOP contenders, though. But staying home, voting third party, or voting Ass Party, would have been insane.

So you have no issue with Palin’s lack of substance on issues

What lack of substance? Palin is conservative across the board on everything, and I'm confident she'll clarify her illegal immigration views and embrace laissez-faire economics more.

her inability to watch over what’s happening in her own family

That's not a negative, that's a positive. Heartland families can identify with that because they've been through it as well. It just means Palin is human and is going through the same issues people everyday are going through.

while chasing a career

She didn't "chase" anything bub. Besides, you oppose ordinary citizens running for office instead of careerist politicians?

her simplistic answers on policy, SCOTUS or a host of other items?

I'll take her simplistic, common-sense answers anyday over the detailed micromanaging crap spewed by egghead elitists that are destroying this nation now.

Kool-aid is a dangerous drink

Only if you don't put a full cup of sugar in it.

You really are shy. It’s certainly Mitt or Pawlenty then, the cagey ones who disappear when the going gets tough, like right now. Of course scratch the surface, and they are all bent out of shape about Palin. Similarities .. et tu?
