I have loved the city of Austin most of my life. I was born 48 miles away in the tiny town of Smithville, and spent many happy hours of my childhood in Austin. At the present time, I live very close to the city of Austin.

The big problem with Austin is, IMHO, that it's run by a bunch of liberal activist kooks. Otherwise, it would still be a great city.

One more thing: I've always had to wonder at anyone who lives there wanting to 'KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD". I suppose I've just never had the desire to live in a weird city.

Mmmmmmmm - Zimmerhanzel BBQ. The chicken alone is worth the trip!

Sure, it's run by liberals....

I simply objected to DogBarkTree's assumption & generalization of the whole town....!!
