As a female, I can honestly say I have never kissed one of my female friends. Ever. I am not from a culture that kisses on greeting, so I can say this without doubt.

My father and I used to kiss all the time. It was an accepted greeting in Poland where he lived as a child.

“My father and I used to kiss all the time...”

As did my father and I. My grandfather came from a culture where it was acceptable for 2 male friends to hold hands - not in a sexual way, but as a gesture of sentiment and love for a dear friend. He would often grab my hand as we walked and talked, and as a teenager I would be embarrassed. I wish he was here now so I could kiss his cheek - and hold his hand. Sometimes I feel really disgusted at our society. We take something perverted and celebrate it’s merits, and we ridicule the good and pure. For some reason, your post reminded me of my PaPa - and how much I have missed him since he has been gone. Thanks and God Bless-—JM

I don’t think the article is talking about that kind of kiss.
