Unfortunately it is a lot of seniors who will be paying the ultimate price for this evil plan. I hope that people rise up and reject this with both hands.

two words.... Logan’s Run.

At first it will be the terminally ill in the last few months of life

Then it will be those who only have 1-2 years of life

Then those who are elderly and in chronic condition

Then those who are just over 80 (then gets bumped down)

Then the unborn with “defects”

Then the seriosly infirmed or comatose

Then those who have a major brain injury

Then those who have a serious cancer (brain, pancreas, bone, etc.,) (elderly...then the age creeps down)

Then those who have genetic defects (before or after symptoms)

The young will be favored over the old
The rich will find outside alternatives

....you’re on your own

The government is simply the least likely to be truly compassionate and non-political;government always has an agenda of manipulation.Private providers are restrained by the knowledge that the customers can go elsewhere and take the money with them, but government programs don't allow customer choices.

Today's widespread obesity with the attendant diabetes and concurrent worsening of any other health problem IS a direct result of people taking up bad habits. All it takes to control weight for the vast majority of people is to eat less and healthier food.

Why We Must Ration Health Care

I guess the moral is: don't get sick and don't get old.

This is the way I see it. Only 10% of the population consume 90% of health care costs: cancer patients, elderly who are hospitalized with stroke , heart attacks, etc, and some chronic illnesses such as kidney disease, Chrone’s disease. Most people use very little of the health care budget. Dr visits are inexpensive compared to hospital stays. So here we are relatively healthy and paying into our HMO’s supporting the needs of the 10%. Eventually we will work our way up the ladder and we will fall into that 10% and there will be young healthy people paying into the HMo’s paying for our hospital stay.

So if you have Leukemia anything and everything should be done to make your quality of life better and I will be happy that my contribution to my HMO made it possible. When and if the government takes over all bets are off, our money will go to pay a new czar of band aids.

My friend lives in fear Medicare will eliminate her treatments.

Your friends fears are well founded, as anyone over 65 should be.

Thank you. The interesting thing about this is the Physical Therapist who is helping my wife had the same cancer 14 years ago.

But if the Dems have their way, we’ll have a shortage and rationing will become the norm.

There will be no shortages with government healthcare. The propagandists will see to that!

I don't know if this is true for certain, but am pretty sure I heard it on the Mark Levin show from Tuesday: In the version that the Democrats put forth this week, private health care will be illegal. So I searched around, and sure enough, there was an article at IBD that outlines it:

IBD Editorials: "It's Not an Option"

Sure, when the program starts out, you will be able to keep your private coverage. But here is the kicker: You will not be able to change your insurance coverage, and the private insurers will not be allowed to enroll new subscribers past the date the government run program becomes law.

Gee. If you take ANY company, don't allow it to take on new customers, and have a government funded competitor offer 40% less for "a product"...what will be the end result?

Someone is going to go out of business.

And it ain't going to be The Government.

We need to get this information out there, I don't think it is common knowledge.

And, by the way, Radl...you and your wife are in my prayers.

I’ve had Kidney Cancer. I’m a survivor. I know a good friend who was just diagnosed with it.
A drug that will help us survive this dreaded killer disease, is worth every penny.
Over time, the price will drop.

The statist solution is to deny the treatment.

We are all doomed.

Bill from Nutley.

My cousin was discovered lung cancer last year. Tried Chemo and it did not work. She was skin and bones. Finally her doctor suggested a new experimental British drug that costs $80/per pill. The cost is not covered by insurance. The family all chipped in with lots of prayers, and it worked! The cancer is shrinking and she is recovering.

She was greatly encouraged by the love of her family. She is a simple woman with no fancy degrees, probably not worth saving by the liberal standards. But let me tell you, how happy we are as a family now that she is better because God heard our prayer and we overcame this together.

I believe God wants us to experience victory and connect with each other. By overcoming trials together, we grow in closeness with each other. I think family should have the right to choose what kind of treatment they want for their loved ones. I do not think the insurance business is valid, as God said we should not become surety for our neighbours. A national health care system yokes responsible people with irresponsible people.

Why should people live healthily pay the health care cost of people who do not? I spend a lot to get the best and most nutricious food for my children so they stay healthy, will I get a reimbursement from the government for my food cost and time spent on cooking.

Prov 9:14, the woman folly calls out from the seat of highest point of the city: “Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!” But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave.

The Bible says the foolish ideas come from highest positions of the city. Stolen water is sweet, Yah, robbing peter to pay paul is sweet, that is what socialists want to tell you.

Thank you. She was told several months ago she had about three days..maybe a week. Thanks to people at the Chruch of God that we attend, numerous Catholics and some German Baptists she is still fighting the battle.

Maybe we just need to reinvent the horrific spending priorities the liberals have stolen our hard earned money to pay for.

Like...how much does it cost to keep a serial killer alive in prison over a twenty year period?

How much do we spend PER PUPIL in failing government run public schools?

and on and on and on

Maybe worrying about who needs the health care the most and how expensive it is would be a moot point if our money would stop being stolen for TARP CRAP and BANK BAILOUTS and KEEPING MURDERERS ALIVE and FUNDING FAILING SCHOOLS and FUNDING WEAK SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN WHO PASS LAWS THEY THEMSELVES DO NOT HAVE TO ABIDE BY.....ARE EXEMPTED FROM...THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!

Isa 3:4 And I will give children [to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

Unfortunately, our children do not share our concern for older people, the decline began with “rest homes/ nursing homes” we no longer had to make the effort to devote time to the care of loved ones, just park’em and forget’em. Now sadly, they are just going to skip the intermediate step, and plant’em.

For a while, the anti-flu drug Tamiflu was banned by the UK’s NICE.

The problem is taking from some for others without the consent of the first and limiting the resources available to all to the lowest common denominator.

Under NICE, no one can buy what is not available to all. If you are rich, resourceful, and/or have generous neighbors and relatives who raise funds for your care, you can’t have “x” if NICE does not allow.

Imagine all those fundraisers you’ve seen for some person over the years. Imagine that the government made this generosity and and charity useless or illegal.
