My son and I were listening to the start up to the game on the radio on our way home from a 75 mile trip today. As I listened to the taped speech from the current (vomit) and past presidents I asked my son if it was just me, or did Bush elicit more cheers than did Obama? We both agreed that was the case. And then, the “first pitch” (or rather that embarrassing moment when a girly man attempted to throw a baseball to the catcher - good thing the catcher coveed up that poor performance) and the boos from the fans that overshadowed the cheers. Just wow. Wish I could have been home in front of the t.v.

I reflected on how much time the President of the United States had on his hands to sit around the broadcast booth of the All-Star game, kibbitzing with the announcers... WHILE THE COUNTRY IS GOING DOWN IN FLAMES.
If a Pub did this the SRM would flay him. So nice to be a Dim.

Did President Bush do things I disagreed with? Of course. I doubt that I will ever agree with every decision of any president.
As far as love of country goes,I never doubted him.

I don't know about that. Unless the Cubs are playing at Busch, you won't find a lotta Cub fans in St. Louie. They HATE that place almost as much as they hate the Ripe Sox.

If he was wearing a Cubs jacket I could understand that remark by the media but not the White Sox jacket. Who outside of Chicago or has ties to Chicago cares about the White Sox?
Cubs are their Cardinals rival not the White Sox.
