I've been wondering...with all the "attention" suddenly thrust upon FREE REPUBLIC in the last couple of days...is it a "distraction" for the media, finding FAKE racism (see: Swim Club in Philadelphia, etc.)...in order to distract from Sotomayor's obviously racist comments.

Opinions?

Obviously she will be confirmed.
Just another nail in the coffin of what use to be a great
country.

I just left my opinion of Sotomayor, very clearly, on the Chicago Tribume website.

I think the Drive By focus on race last week and this weekend is meant to keep people thinking about it...while ignoring the inherent racism in the words of a person about to assume a lifetime appointment.

We shouldn’t fight racism, real or perceived, with racism.

Why is this even an issue? :0/

Politically I see only two questions right now.

Which Republicans are going to vote her out of Judiciary? (If none do, the nomination fails). I say Hatch will vote for her, not sure about the others.

The other question is the final vote.

Everything else is academic.

I hope it's a party line vote but some RINOs will cave.
