Yes the Tea Partiers understand this, but those watching do not. Very, very, very bad marketing.
++++++++++++++++

What other historical parallel would you suggest, that would have resonated the way the Boston Tea Party has?

Look, every tea party I’ve been to (3), have focused all messaging on the outrageous spending, as well as taxation. If the MSM would ever bother to cover this movement, this huge movement, they’d find that out as well. But they won’t. So it’s up to us to get our message out...I’m starting to talk with more and more people about the tea parties and what they’re all about, as are all the people that have been attending..

I was involved with the initial organization of a Tea Party and attended one. There were speakers talking about abortion, gay marriage, 2nd amendment, the Iraq war, readings from the bible ... mixed in with messages about taxes and spending. These were the organized speakers, the attendees had even more widely varying messages.

I feel strongly about many of these issues as well, but it was a mish-mash

IT WILL NOT WORK
IT WILL FAIL

I will not attend another Tea Party and I’m certain I’m not alone.

Look, I really hope I’m wrong and they can turn this movement around and do something to curb outrageous out-of-control government spending.

But I’m quite certain I am not wrong.
IMO the organizers of this movement have lost the plot for good.

Bon chance to those who are committed to making it work ... you’re going to need it.
