SPECIAL-INTEREST SOPS

1. Free money for well-connected business interests.

2. A little something for Goldman Sachs. Again.

3. Alcoa and Dupont get their share. The utilities, too.

4. A tree grows in Botswana.

5. Selling indulgences.

6. Protecting refineries.

7. All carrot, no stick for the farm lobby.

8. Replacing the EPA with the USDA.

9. Ignoring ethanol’s impact.

10. Buying off electric cooperatives.

11. Monsanto rounds up favors.

12. Interfering with free trade.

13. Billions for “international clean technology.”

14. Inflating union wages...

Now just imagine all you could find wrong with the bill if you could actually read the entire thing.

9. Ignoring ethanol’s impact.

Ya mean it does something besides use up more energy to produce than it provides?

You forgot the FIRST thing wrong with this piece of greenfreak idiocy: WAXMAN AND MARKEY were responsible for it!

With the alleged fall of communism (actually, they just swapped their uniforms for blue suits, tucked their pistols into their waistbands and changed their names — and darned if one didn’t move into the White House!), the Global Elite needed a new BOOGEYMAN with which to frighten and control the dumb masses (say it fast for maximum effect): THE ECOLOGY and MAN CAUSED GLOBAL WARMING GOT THE NOD!

Oh yeah, I forgot the cool part about picking the pockets of the wealthier nations to enrich some of them (Algore, call your banker — your multiple bank accounts are WAAAYYYY over the FDIC insurance limit!) and to level us with the Turd World despotisms with which we are to be merged in their New World Odor. Misspelling intentional.)

Questions??

Even NRO current editors must be products of government schools and can only count to 50.

Certainly there must be more than 50 things wrong with this bill!

Waxman admitted that he did not know what was in the bill, and the voters keep putting this moron back in office.

Honestly, I don’t know if anyone knows what’s in that bill, or most bills Congress ends up passing. That’s definitely irresponsible and borderline criminal, IMO.

Heck, they’re still writing it. There are sections that are “reserved”.

This is the only article on the front page of NRO online that has to do with environmental issues. It doesn’t seem to be the article referenced in this thread:

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZmM1ZDM1ZmY2YmVhMGNlNDM0ZWM2OTQ4MDRhYTM4NWU=

Can you provide a link to the article about which you posted?

I keep telling detractors of my arguments against this idiocy that the writers had no idea what all was in the bill.

Can you provide a link to Waxman saying he did not know what was in the bill and/or a link to the Gorillions that the OWLgorebot is going to make if this becomes reality?

Unfortunately, when I went to their browsable archives, they have left out the July 5 issue. The 50 points were on the front of the web page. Perhaps they will realize their mistake and make the July 5 issue available.

I sent the NRO tech support an email asking if they would be making the July 5 edition available.
