They should raise the tourist taxes for three days.

Send an email to Arnold suggesting it. Maybe you could ask for 5%.

And if the million people are any more in lockstep, what a quake that would be. CA could moonwalk itself into the Pacific.

The amount of time (news coverage) dedicated to the death of this self-multilated freak is troubling. This is a symptom of true sickness in our society.
I'm sorry that M. Jackson died. Yes the death of any man diminishes me as the saying goes. But this coverage is beyond absurd. This guy hasn't been a force in pop music for nearly 20 years. Notice I distinguished Pop from Rock. Jackson was never a force in ROCK. Real Rock and Rollers NEVER liked Jackson.
I've tried to avoid the publicity machine , but it seems to seek me out. I can't get away from it and still be the news junkie I'm use to being.
When will this madness stop?

Sheesh...conservatives hoping for raised taxes...no wonder we are in the mess we are in. Perhaps you are just a RINO yourself. Go to Europe if you want taxes raised.

conservatives hoping for raised taxes I dunno.....makes a certain amount of sense. Tax the stupid. Like Rush's theory of taxing the poor. If you want less of something - tax it. If you want more of something - subsidize it. I say we have been subsidizing stupidity for way too long. Time to tax it!

One of my in-laws has just or nearly completed her nursing program and has to attend some function in LA near the Staples center on Tuesday. Fortunately, she booked a room over a month ago, but it’s still going to be a mad-house. She’d cancel if it weren’t mandatory.

I just don’t agree with raising taxes at this time at all. If the liberals are taxed...who is next? We claim that all the time and now we have drank the cool aide. Yieks! This is a strange time.
To: napscoordinator
My post was meant as an, obviously unsuccesful, attempt at light humor.
To: Free State Four
Sorry...didn’t mean to be snarky...I am just roasting in my house as the ac went out...I am grouchy. Of course the folks can’t come out and fix it until Monday....Ugh. I may go out and get a window unit just for the weekend...lol. Not!
To: napscoordinator
conservatives hoping for raised taxes It's kind of supply and demand. Only so many people can fit in the city, there's more demand than supply, so raise the prices.
To: napscoordinator
That’s OK. I’d be cranky if my airconditioning went on the fritz, too. I don’t do heat well. :)
