When was the last time you had to find half a mil to pay for defending yourself against constant ethics charges brought by the other party ? She left the governorship in good hands, and can get a breather with her family. The media has never let up on her. This last bit with Letterman and then VF with info from that snotty Steve Schmidt was too much. They have rendered her governorship useless to AK. She has already accomplished a lot for her state-now it is up to her to choose where to go.

Personally, the way the GOP bigshots have been disdainful and, literally, joined the media and Dems have turned me against them. I am a conservative, and when the Repubs want to join me, they can--til then, I despise McCain, his henchmen, and Mitt Romney's crew just a bit less than Dems.

I think turning off a huge base of Conservative Christians will help Mitt et al lose even bigger than Juan McC--there aren't going to be enough moderates to go around.

Yeah, like she was only attacked in the average fashion. Those of you who keep saying this are full of it. She has been attacked, and her family, in an unprecedented manner, no politician has had to put up with the sh** the press has heaped on Palin. And it came from both parties. Your frail a** would have quit way before Palin did. The 2 mil in question belonged to the people of Alaska, not the Palins, plus she has ended up 500K in legal personal debt.

I know of no other politician that has had to defend theirselves against 15 irrational, senseless ethics attacks, do you?

You know, this wasn’t about being attacked as a Governor. It went way past that! It was cruel beyond words what they did not to her but her CHILDREN! Imagine if Jay Leno had made jokes about the Obama girls and R.Kelly? Remember him, the R&B singer who liked little girls? Would that be funny? Would the press laugh? They skewered her husband, yet nobody will touch Michelle. And decent comedian could do an entire show on her wardrobe alone, but that would never happen. And to top it off the liberal press said nasty things about her baby! What they did to her was NOT politics as usual!
