Palin 2012: The Crystal Ball
race 4 2012 ^ | July 3, 2009 | Alex Knepper

Posted on 07/03/2009 9:37:28 PM PDT by Al B.

Palin 2012. Hypothetical narrative.

If this is what she runs on — and does it well — then watch the hell out:

I’m Sarah Palin, and I’m running to be Citizen-In-Chief.

I entered politics to change something. I ran to serve my state, the great state of Alaska, and then for the vice-presidency because I care about this country.

I saw first-hand the viciousness and pettiness that have made Americans fed up with politicians, politics as usual, and the destructive personal attacks that also go on far too often. Those sorts of things that public service should never be about.

I thought I could serve my country best by being removed from that environment.

I don’t need a title to bring to Washington the change America really needs: a dose of humility in a federal government that has completely lost touch with its citizens.

So I come to you today as an Alaskan, as a parent of a soldier, and as a mother of five. I am running not as a member of the elite, of the establishment — but of the everyday. I ask to serve you as president because I have shared your experiences and I understand your disgust with the system. What we need today is not a ruler, but a servant. A servant of the people. A servant of America.

I will govern as first among equals, not as your ruler. Not as the Queen of Washington, giving orders that descend from on high. I know firsthand how that culture of selfishness and personal destruction in Washington harms lives. I ask for your support because I share your disgust with the system. And if you will fight with me, if you will put that trust in me to do that — then you can trust me, also, to change it.

I love Sarah, but the Dems are already printing the “Palin=Quitter” bumper-stickers. Count on it.

But then again, politics is a weird critter and anything could happen.

Ok, I just “viewed” and “heard” Gov. Sarah Palin’s resignation speech. I wanted to see it and hear it wih my own eyes and ears, BECAUSE, I have read (right here on FR) and heard (from ‘conservative’ talk show hosts tonite in Phila) that it was a “rambling” and “incoherent” speech.

Well, I have one simple thing to say.

Anyone who characterizes her speech in that fashion, is ‘WISHING’ nothing but BAD THINGS on that woman. PERIOD!

ZERO only WISHES he could give a speech like that without his OBAMAPROMPTER in front of his nose!

CASE CLOSED!!!

Reality check: Sarah Palin just held a news conference and NOBODY came. The “applause” afterwards literally sounded like it wasn’t more than the assembled families of herself and the Lt. Governor and there was no evidence of any audience at all except a couple of TV cameras. President????

“Dems are already printing the “Palin=Quitter” bumper-stickers. Count on it.”

My “SARAH 2012” sticker is staying in the rear window of my PU no matter what anyone says.

Our land will never be healed until people give up there evil ways....

God says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV).

Sarah will pray GOD will heal, if people are willing to repent and change....

We care because we’d like to see her elected. If you repeat something often enough, people will believe it. Just ask Obama.

If they haven’t destroyed her yet they never will...somehow the truth comes out no matter how the Barry Show administration tries to stop it...or spin it into an absolute lie

I used to believe that, but not so much anymore. The truth may come out, but who hears it? If the truth comes out and only a few people hear it, does it matter? I don’t know.

Reality check: Sarah Palin just held a news conference and NOBODY came.

It was held at her HOME. The public was not invited. She was the lead on every newscast, radio or TV all day. She knocked "Jacko" back into the rafters.

If she held a tea party in You-Name-The-State next week, she would draw 20,000 to 40,000.

It's time for Mitt-boy to have a reality check.

If the truth comes out and only a few people hear it, does it matter? I don’t know.

In the days prior to Al Gore inventing the internet...lies once uttered were harder to refute...but if you wait and sift enough now...it (truth) will eventually emerge...and become very public....

For the last 6 months I have advanced a theme that Alaskans don’t want to hear, but simply put the greater majority of Sarah’s supporters in the Lower 48 couldn’t give a hoot that Sarah was governor of Alaska or will not be in 3 weeks.

Bottom line: tens of millions of conservative Americans are frightened to death thinking about what Obama is proposing to do to America, its economy and its freedoms.

Quite simply a great many conservatives and Republicans have concluded that Sarah Palin is the only Republican capable of taking down the Messiah. It’s as simple as that.

Now she will have more time to travel in the lower 48. Do you think they will say “Sarah, boy I wish you would have stayed up in Alaska as governor-you are doing such as good job-why waste your time down here?”

I don’t think so.
