I listened to her entire announcement. It was honorable, it was direct, and it punctuated the insane politics of our day...it also punctuated her personal commitment to fight, and to do so when it would not distract further from her job as Governor and the foundation she has built there.

I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.

I think Sarah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face her enemies directly.

...and I think they are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time. Good on her!

I believe she will assist others greatly in 2010, and will run herself in 2012...and she has my full support.

GO SARAH GO!

“Americans” can be proud. They have forced an honorable, decent woman from American politics. How dare she talk that way about the good old boys club in D.C.? Fart proudly America!!!

I hope the MSM keeps trashing Palin - it is becoming more and more ridiculous, it’s purpose more and more obvious to all Americans - and she will use it against them, and for her political benefit.

Even after a series of public relations disasters, no one in her inner circle has shown a willingness to prevent Palin from engaging with her critics large and small.

What public relations disasters would those be? And I suppose that she was supposed to sit in her gilded cage in Juneau and keep her mouth shut while the MSM and Letterman tore her family's reputation apart?

TELL CBS WHAT YOU THINK!! THEY REALLY WANT TO KNOW!

At the very bottom of the Late Show with moron/degenerate Letterman website, there is a "Feedback" link for commenting on any given program.

The screen that you'll see will look like this below. You apparently don't need to be a registered member of the site to send comments:

From NewsBusters.org, June 9, 2009...

Seven months after Election Day, and the attacks on Sarah Palin keep coming.

On Monday, CBS's David Letterman on the "Late Show" shamelessly went after the Alaska governor and her family during his opening monologue, as well as in his "Top Ten" list.

Top Ten Highlights Of Sarah Palin's Trip To New York

10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska

9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.

8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray

7. Keyed Tina Fey's car

6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack

5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts

4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn't tell the difference.

3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson's always talking about

2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look

1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman

"One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez."

Why isn't CBS talking about Honduras?
Iran?
The Investigator General who Obama fired?

I'm fine with Mrs. Palin's resignation. Politically it'll probably be harmful - but it was the honorable thing to do if she is truly running for President. There was a certain Senator from Illinois who only 'served' a couple of months before starting his Presidential campaign. That was a shameful example of a 'public servant'.
Also, I presume its easier to criticize a sitting Administration as a 'free-agent', than as a public official... And who knows, at the rate things are going the public might not want to wait until 2012 for the next change in Presidents... it might not be a bad idea to start campaigning 'early'...

Here’s the perfect example of what she’s been up against.
CBS just did their spew on her resignation, describing it as rambling and confused. They said she had gotten Alaska in debt defending ethics charges, but didn’t even mention she had been cleared of all of them.

These snakes are beyond deplorable. I hope Sarah is leaving because she has an idea how to take out this so called ‘media’.

From the article: "There might well be, but ever since her return to Alaska after her electoral defeat in November..."

After seeing this, I decided it wasn't worth the time to read further since it was apparent the writer started out on the left foot and would probably continue to hop along on it for the entire article. Apparently CBS thinks she was the only one on the ticket. Which is ironic since a lot of us conservatives tried to ignore the other half of the ticket all together.

Here’s the way I see it...

Sarah is ambitious and she is smart.

She got a taste for higher politics and she is hooked.

Alaska is part of the U.S. but, it is still a place too far to be in the everyday political spotlight needed to be recognized as a big threat to take the lead in high republican politics.

She saw other people with the same ambitions as she has getting the spotlight shone on them. Gingrich, Romney and Huckabee are in the spotlight and, although it is still 3 years away, they are in campaign mode already for the 2012 election. Sarah realized that she needed to be in that group if she wanted to be competitive. She doesn’t want those others to build up a big lead in popularity and credibility to the point where, if she decided to run later, it might turn out to be too little too late. Therefore, she had no choice but to start making her moves now.

The first step in that direction was to quit the Alaska governorship and start concentrating on what it’s going to take to make her candidacy more credible. She also needed to start setting up the needed financing groups in order to be viable. As an example, Obama started running for president after just one year as a U.S. senator. Sarah sees the same opportunity and she is getting ready.

This is obviously a way to get out of the useless barrage of complaints she has had as Governor, she will be free to say and do as she pleases now; and that's to hit as hard as she wants against the idiot elites of the left.

I am not a great fan of Sarah Palin, although I admire her spunk and support her message. She is a work in progress as far as Commander-in-Chief is concerned.

But her detractors, the MSM, are the scum of the Earth. They have proven themselves to be disgusting little misfits worthy only of our disgust and derision. A pox on them all and I wish them nothing but ill. Sarah would be wise to lend her talents to fund raising for conservative candidates and building a support base for a future attack against these vermin. She will do well.

OK, we can thank Dave Letterman in part for this incredible turn of events. I believe Sarah has finally had enough from the bitter humorless vicious libtards and Dave was the last straw. Ya go after the Mama Bear’s cubs and she’s gonna fight back. She will soon be free of the yoke of the governorship and be unleashed! Free to speak her mind more openly than ever. And I will relish every second of her rise to the Presidency, something I have hoped for and even prayed for since last fall. Worldly action will be required by those of us who support her, money, lots of money to get her out of debt from the frivolous and false charges she has had to defend, and then campaign donations directly to her, not to the RNC ever ever again. She will win, she is on a mission from GOD. She ain’t Jake and Elwood Blues in a movie, she’s the real deal and she is on a real mission from God. She will win. The libtard’s heads will then explode! Sarah will surely have a very special Independence Day. She has declared her independence to say and do as she wants, without the bonds of the governorship holding her back. Go Sarah Go!!! Happy Independence Day America, Help is on the way!

At this point her reasons for resigning are pretty much speculation and “her political career is over” wishful thinking on the part of the usual suspects.

I’ve stated before on this and other forums that after the drubbing she took once McCain announced her as his running mate, I half expected her to walk up to that podium during the RNC and tell us all she didn’t need this (insert preferred swear word here)! She didn’t, and gave what I considered one of the best political speeches I’d ever heard.

She is one tough woman. Guess we’ll know soon enough what the real deal is, but I sure don’t see her as someone who is a quitter.
