Gee, I just heard Lanny Davis say on FOX that Sarah Palin made a stupid move. He added that if the Republicans were to nominate her, she would go down to a huge defeat! lol Sure makes me feel good that Lanny Davis, etal are so concerned about our chances!

I'm extremely disappointed by her decision. Unless there are some health and/or family reasons she hasn't mentioned or perhaps some ethics charge we don't know about, she has no defense for not finishing the term she was elected for. The spin that this is a good move politically for her doesn't make any sense.
It was nice to know you, believe in you and donate to you, Sarah Palin.

I’m conservative as they come. I despise Romney and/or McCain, and LOATHE the clintons and the obamas.
I had a lot of hope held out for Sarah.
But this author is just plain-old right.

I like that line in the old song"Me And Bobby McGee" that says, "Freedom's just another word, for 'nothing left to lose'...".
By resigning, Sarah is simply moving Alaska out of harms way so she can enter the fight as Sarah Palin, not as "Governor" Sarah Palin....more freedom to be herself.

What must be taken into consideration that the blogger and the comments have conveniently avoided mentioning is that this governor was under daily attack from bogus ethics violations and media slams. This constant barrage of attacks must be responded to, and Sarah, quite admirably, decided to remove herself as a target. I believe it was to be expected that many foolish people would judge her decision as inconsiderate of her promise to serve, but I believe that she took it upon herself to face even more criticism than she has already borne to step out of the line of fire so that Alaskans won’t have to pay for the attacks of the petty critics. Were more politicians in America as concerned about their constituents! Sadly, most politicians don’t even listen to us anymore, much less care about how much they waste our money. I hope she rises like a phoenix and surprises everyone.

Gov Palin should have done it on July 14. We could have gotten rid of the elitists and the classists as well.

She can’t create the New Patriot party if she is constrained by a political office or encumbered by ties to the republican party. The republican party is dead.

It’s completely baffling. I can’t even draw any conclusions from this news, there just isn’t enough information. Giving her the benefit of the doubt is hard, but there has to be more to it.
To: EveningStar
Reality is that we really don’t know her reasons. Idle speculation at this point.

What can you expect from a source that's nothing more than a press organ of the Neo-cons? The “American Spectator”...LOL!
Neo-cons are liberals thinly disguised. They hate Sarah's pure brand of conservatism.

Palin isn’t even finishing her first term as Governor....WOW! I don’t see how anyone could continue to support her for President in 2012.
