"Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can't handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down. Either way her decision to abandon her post and the people of Alaska who elected her continues a pattern of bizarre behavior that more than anything else may explain the decision she made today."

DNC (Dirty Nazi Commies): Yap Yap Yap Yap Yap.
Make that.....
I can’t help but think this could have easily come from some on our side.
Clicked “post” by accident.
Its like looking at the thoughts of a madman. And it probably is.
A lof of folks are afraid of this woman... seemingly the same folks I wish were afraid of me.
These people really are evil.
Pure socialist spin.
They will never stop carping at her - she terrifies them!
LOLOL.........TOTUS was a senator for two weeks when he began his run for presidente.
Bullsh*t!!!! The Commie DemocRATS have caused the loss of millions of dollars and precious time with their bogus "ethics" investigations of Governor Palin in their quest to win an opportunity to kiss Barack the Kenyan's feet.
They obviously did not watch her speech.
Maybe this will work out for Sarah in the end, but you cannot help but to understand that she has handed the opposition a huge talking point.
The DNC, MSM, and their ilk have been continuously braying that Palin is unfit to be Governor — yet, they want us to believe that not running for the office again is leaving Alaskans “high and dry”. It's just not logical, Captain.
If she runs for the Republican nomination in 2012 it will.
And she's gonna be your worst nightmare!
You're closer to the bulls eye than you think. Some on "our" side merely hope you will believe they are on "our" side.
I hope she makes millions on her book, speaks her mind and tells all the critics to choke on their own bizarre behavior of trying to personally destroy a public servant and her family.
“These people really are evil.”
and petty and classless. It is not going to go over very well for them to have put out such a statement. Expect the generic congressional polls to tip even more in the republicans favor by next week.
Americans don’t like these kind of petty ‘official’ statements coming from political parties. Mark my word.
OMG what a filthy rotten thing to say
SARAH I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (in a strictly platonic way First Dude)
I will not only donate but I will WORK TIRELESSLY FOR YOUR CAMPAIGN
Do you think the vitriol demonstrated by the DNC’s and other Dem’s reaction would/will turn some off?
I do, but then I do consider myself a decent human being.
Only Clarence Thomas has been treated worse by the MSM/DNC (same thing).
How horrible it my be to have thoughts like that in your head as a first reaction to this WONDERFUL WOMAN!!!!!!!!!
CNN and the DNC react like vampires confronted with a cross at the very mention of Palin’s name. You can feel the fear.
"...leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions..."
Bullsh*t!!!! The Commie DemocRATS have caused the loss of millions of dollars and precious time with their bogus "ethics" investigations of Governor Palin in their quest to win an opportunity to kiss Barack the Kenyan's feet.
I am hoping she will lead the loyal national opposition focusing on energy indepedence - she will shake them to the core. For now....
The only potential opponent left for her can’t raise the issue because of the info in post #8.
Help! I've fallen and I've forgotten how to get up!
Their smarmy response speaks for itself! Lowest form of politics always comes from the dnc.
I am sure their beloved leader is mad as hell right now that she is stealing the headlines and leaving a question as to her plans.
hahaha!! Good girl, Sarah...make this so-called potus sweat! Stalk him throughout his treasonous adventure and hold him to account. Goodness knows no one else is doing anything to stop this evil leader!!
Best of luck and God bless her and her family!!
Damn touchpad on my laptop clicked “post” before I got to edit.
%^&*!
And did we notice she did not need a teleprompter?
Sarah for Potus in ‘12
How refreshing.
“Did the leftist aholes say anything like this when dumbo ears the commie left the IL senate to leave his state high and dry to pursue his selfish egotistical dream of becoming the tyrant of America? I didn’t think so.”
Great point. And 0bama left his seat in total play, in the struggle that ensnared Blagoevich. Sarah’s replacement is known, the transition is handled properly and orderly, and that’s that.
But we should expect nothing less than this kind of third-grade spin from the state-run media.
DNC = Scared $hitless.
I will not only donate but I will WORK TIRELESSLY FOR YOUR CAMPAIGN
ME TOO!
I do and will continue to donate to Palin’s pac.
I wonder if the Dems are available to write my eulogy.
Let’s hope they’re writing their own.
Or when Bill Clinton resigned the Governor's office early AFTER he had promised the people of Arkansas that he would serve out his full term.
The article said — “Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can’t handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down.
—
Well, she made it clear that she wasn’t leaving them high and dry, but enabling the people of Alaska to have a “governor” that wouldn’t be tied up doing things that had nothing to do with helping Alaska. And she said that she was leaving Alaska in the capable hands of the Lt. Governor (soon to be Governor).
And also, she said she was doing this as a “team member” and with the goal of the game in mind and not something for herself.
I know that the DNC is unfamiliar with thinking like this... LOL...
Whoever wrote that did not read, or listen, to Palin’s speech at all...”Tokyo Rose” is at it again...spreading the lies to demoralize the troops.
Each time she gets out of bed they have a talking point. She is a talking point to those morons. That's what they do. They Talk. That's all they do. For that we give them the keys to the kingdom and all the money we'll ever have. When's it going to end?
This DNC response is classless and mean-spirited. I guess, in other words, it’s in keeping with the Democrats.
Not one of the scumballs who contributed to the constant attacks on Sarah and/or this sleazy response could handle a fraction of the pressure that Sarah has endured.
She will now be able to go on the road throughout the country in 2010 campaigning full time on behalf of Rep candidates, building up her political IOUs when she goes for the Presidency in 2012. Essentially, she is constructing her national political organization.
RE: Or when Bill Clinton resigned the Governor’s office early AFTER he had promised the people of Arkansas that he would serve out his full term.
WOW—the state run media has a short memory or selective amnesia. When will they resort to real reporting? I hope all of the Freepsters avoid the station, and keep ratings low.
The speech came on eve of “Independence Day” (no accident), and if you listen to Palin’s words you will get the answers and you are right, but there is more...here is my first comment about it on another thread:
Palin’s Dereliction of Duty

The problem is too many conservatives have forgotten what it means to change the rules of engagement. In football its called the best defense is a great offense. Sarah has been on the defensive with all the lawsuits/ethics complaints sucking up AK taxpayer dollars, and her staffs time. She has resigned to change the rules of engagement from defense to offense. I love it!
2010 is coming, and offesive engagement is coming for the likes of Dodd, Pelosi, Reid and people like them. Sarah said nothing about running for President, but she did say she would fight for freeom, national security and our country...think about it. She will be free to campaign for the opposing candidate of the jacka$$es we all want out of office. What better place to start, and without being accused of abdicating her duties as governor while doing so.
In the meantime she can write a book, spend time with family and plot strategy...and with all the current ethics complaints thrown out, this stepping down will put her out of the line of fire until the real war heats up. God bless Palin, and we now have a chance in 2010 to end the problems in Congress. Palin draws huge crowds, and that is what many new candidates will need. It isnt about herself, its about stopping the costs to AK, and helping America. It is no accident it was stated on the eve of Independence Day...go Sarah!

What an ugly and ungracious comment. Of course, you have to admit that ugly and ungracious comments come from our side from time to time.
I love this!! Obama must be wondering what she is up to.
And for all the critics out there...
Bill Clinton did not complete his last term as governor, which he had promised he would do.
Barack Obama was a do-nothing senator, who used his office (and the people of Illinois) as a springboard to the presidency. He would have been more honest if he would have stepped down.
I can’t for the life of me think how quitting your current job, before it’s completed, shows that you are ready to be President of the United States.
This is the first thing Palin has done that has me questioning. I know a lot of people have been saying she wasn’t ready, but I didn’t buy it. I still don’t, but I can’t imagine trying to fight those people now.
Brian Moran resigned his house of delegates seat before his term, so he could run for Governor, and we rightly attacked him for being a quitter. I don’t know how this doesn’t come out the same way.
But I’m sure a lot of people here who would call anybody else a quitter will explain why this is so different. Problem is, after a while, the average folks start asking why you have to explain things all the time.
First Sanford’s cheating, and now Palin’s resigning. We are running out of conservatives.
