TEL AVIV – The composition of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government is "under assault" by the U.S. and Europe, says a top minister in the Israeli government.
"It seems there is a coordinated assault between the U.S. and some European countries to remove Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and his party and to replace them with the Kadima party," the minister said.
The minister spoke on condition his name be withheld due to possible political fallout from his comments. He said he was expressing his belief and does not have any proof of possible U.S.-European collusion to influence the composition of the Israeli government.
Kadima, headed by opposition leader Tzipi Livni, is considered a "centrist" party politically, although in reality its politics are leftist. Kadima, which led the government until earlier this year, supports a Palestinian state and under Prime Minister Ehud Olmert engaged in negotiations with the Palestinians that reportedly included the willingness to relinquish sections of Jerusalem and 94 percent of the West Bank. Livni led all negotiations.

24Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
25Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
26Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
What disturbs me is that, somehow, the US and Europe seem to think that taking terrorists and their enablers sides is in their interest. I don't know how supporting Fatah, Hamas and other terrorist organizations will advance our nation's interests.
PM Netanyahu is a very smart cookie. He knew what Obama was a long time ago. Now he must outwit him.

Lieberman is a disgusting racist and should be, not just replaced, but exiled. When are the people in the US going to stop viewing Arabs as people of lesser value than the rest of us “white folks”. There is a tremendous amount of balance missing in the Middle East. Lieberman should go, period! The US should start seriously reviewing its foreign aid policies, not just with Israel, but the rest of the region as well. There is a lot of money that is needed to be spent here, at home. It really is time to begin to rethink our foreign policy. Let’s start with a serious investigation of AIPAC and all of the monies that flow to Congress from them and related sources. Amen.
Speaking of “Racists”...
Sir, put your thinking cap on. Criticism of a country is not being a racist. I criticize the US as well. It’s only to look for improvement. If you just accept status the quo, your brain dies. There should always be discussion and dialogue. If we don’t have these things, we are no better than the Soviet Union of the 50’s and 60’ and on. Do not fear scrutiny and critical analysis. It’s healthy.
