Franken Declared Winner of Minnesota Senate Election, Giving Dems Filibuster-Proof Majority

After the Minnesota high court rejects a legal challenge from Norm Coleman, the Republican concedes to Democrat Al Franken in the state's Senate race.

Democrat Al Franken as the winner of the state's vacant Senate seat after the state's high court ruled that Republican challenger Norm Coleman had exhausted his options for appealing the result.

Coleman responded to the court ruling by conceding the election and wishing Franken well, ending an eight-month legal battle that directly affects the balance of power in the Senate.

One place GUARANTEED that I’d never set foot in...I’ll drive around the state to make sure I never set foot in that land of loons. The place and it’s people are an absolute DISGRACE and are unfit to be called “American”.

...and yet, I have wonderful—conservative—friends who live there.

I frankly don’t see how they take it and why they don’t leave!

Perhaps I’m generalizing a bit, but then again I’d never set foot in Pelosi’s district either!

Well, I have been to San Francisco...and it’s a beautiful but crazy/liberal city. There are protests daily. I know why there is a budget emergency there. No one actually works! They are all out on the street protesting one thing or the other! LOL!

I would be embarrassed to be a DIM and have to vote for what
they have to offer! Yeesh!

And yet, they hang on forever! Franken will probably DIE at
100 and still be a senator from MN. Stupidity rules in some places!

Well, the Dems own it all, now! They can’t blame any legislation on the Repubs, though they’ll continue to try.

Coleman should have fought this. This just encourages criminal behavior by the dems.

He DID fight it, to the tune of over a million dollars from the GOP. When the State Supreme Court made their decision, he decided not to fight anymore after that.

They will “try” to blame the R’s...and the weird part is that it will work because of the MSM always being on their side!

We just have to take back our country in 2010...PERIOD!

Which means that those idiot RINOS that have voted and been bribed to vote with the dems are going to see a lot of broken promises and welching from the communists in power.

Yeah well it was the FIRST thing the boss brought up in the AM meeting this AM....and Jesse "the body" Ventura.

He was grateful that I DIDN'T vote for Frankenstein and that I was in China when Jesse got elected. ; )

I'm in unfamiliar, yet very comfortable territory now. : - D

I like it!

It's "almost" like living in Texas!

“Almost nearly but not quite hardly” like living in Texas...but at least you are close enough for a trip now and then to the Promised Land!

I am thankful that you have bosses who appreciate your politics! Now you can come out of the closet you had to reside in while in Minnesoooooooooooblue! :D

P.S You were in China? I want to hear more about that! :D
