The solution, say critics of the status quo: fully embrace the so-called “Rooney rule,” named after Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney. The rule requires that NFL teams interview at least one minority prospect when filling head coaching jobs.

There is no legal definition for the races. Race is determined by whatever the authority thinks based on appearance.
Therefore any law based on race is invalid.

Yes, by all means, let’s acknowledge that there’s something broken about the process - jobs go to those who bother to get an education and can thus function at an advanced state of literacy. In dumbed-down America, that’s “broken” in the Newspeak of the age.
No doubt Thornell feels we should be hiring illiterates and morons; isn’t the US government effed up enough now - is it really necessary to screw it up even more? With the situation as it is, we’re already becoming a laughing stock all over the planet - with the Idiot-in-Chief leading from the White House.

Since we know that not all men are created IDENTICAL, we take this to mean EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW.
Therefore, there is no need for and there can be no legitimate legal definition of the sort in question.
