i’m with you. it doesn’t sound at all correct. I think maybe just doesn’t want to,as has been suggested on here,follow their customs and act subservient. Hell,we all know shes the man of the house.

Like you, I am not sure of the accuracy of that statement...but the missing point may be that Michelle Obama is not a muslim and this might be an insult to the countries into which he brings her (i.e. there might be a problem with his being a muslim man bringing a non-muslim wife).
Queen Rania of Jordan is of course a Muslim from the Hashemite tribe.
