Personally I want Democrats in the Presidency, and control of congress when Social Sec and Medicare belly up. They deserve to be there for the retribution.

I understand your point, but we just can’t have people like Barney Frank who hold onto seats indefinitely, become arrogant, and think they don’t have to answer to anyone. If there were strict term limits, with circulating chairmanships, the political mix would change dramatically. Regarding staffers, I would put in place legal restrictions that prevent staffers from participating in political decisions.
