The majority of our fellow countrymen want government-run healthcare.

Barely five months into the Obama administration, how could this be the case? And how could the attempt fall apart in accelerated fashion -- much faster than the much-maligned, abortive Clinton effort of 1993 and '94?

The faster you drive a piece of junk, the faster it falls apart.

Can it truly be possible that despite the most popular Democrat in the White House in 45 years

FWIW, I think BJ Klintoon was probably more popular than Zero at this point in 1993 and when he leaves office in 2013 Zero will probably be more unpopular than Hoover.

Say what? I think Clinton might be able to dispute that statement.

[When confronted with a choice between healthcare for the poor and the near-poor on the one hand, and the continued overstuffing of the overclass on the other hand, Obama made a decisive choice: He chose the overclass. He put rich people first.]

That is quite true. A lot of bankers and the politicians who enabled them should be hanging from lampposts (figuratively), but they skated.

Mr. George is doped up. Hussein ain't that popular. And to say he is the most popular Democrat is kinda like saying he is the most intelligent flatworm.

Can it truly be possible that despite the most popular Democrat in the White House in 45 years and commanding Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate (the latter nearly filibuster-proof), that the quest for the Holy Grail of politics -- a national health-care insurance program -- is likely to fail yet again?

Nationalized health care isn't dead yet.

I say kill it, drive a stake through its heart, burn the corpse, and scatter the ashes at sea.

Why does Robert A. George think that I should pay his medical bills?

The problem with Socialized Medicine from the Democrat Party’s perspective is that it just isn’t that popular with the people. Not only that, implementation would require a hefty tax increase- which is even less popular.

It was an easy vote last year- everyone knew that President Bush would veto it if it came to his desk. Today, its a different story, the current president is pledged to sign it.

Not every Democrat in Congress represents Berkeley or Marin County or the upper west side of NY. But they are all up for reelection not that far down the road.

The socialist media never mentions the fact many of these bills die due to incredible pressure brought to bare on Congress critters by their constituents.

Because it's abundantly clear (even to ardent supports and the majority of the clueless Congress) that Obama doesn't have a clue as to what he's doing. If they keep going the way they are going what we are seeing to Iran we will see on the streets of America.

What this idjit George does’nt understand....is that fooling with healthcare COST the Democrats the Congress in 1946...the first time around. The Senate went Republican that year. In 1994 it cost BOTH the House AND the Senate for the Dems.....it is FAR too big...as in is legislation that has thew potential to affect a huge number of citizens, has far too much potential for a hurricaine style blowback....and at this point is completely unaffordable..to even think about in public, much less act.

You are being played, Americans.

Again, the communists in charge are just warming up.

Trust me.

Mark Levin had a great first hour on his radio program yesterday.

Take a listen, Mark doesn’t charge for these MP3’s. Thank you, Mark.

Just show one single Democrat success. Show one single Obama triumph. Show one single instance where all these BS words overcame reality and made things better, instead of just causing billions in taxpayer debt, and leaving the problem worse than when it was identified.

Show me one instance where the condition wasn't made worse tenfold, and wasn't swept under the rug by the statists and their tools in the media, and the same issue wasn't trotted out again to be supported by the double digit IQ voters as a cause de jour as a lever to eliminate another inconvenient fragment of the Constitution.

Just one.

the quest for the Holy Grail of politics -- a national health-care insurance program

Holy Grail of politics = more power and control. Health-care will give politicians (Dems and RINOs) more power and control over the populous. That's why RINO congressmen introduce "alternative government health plans" instead of suggesting the government stay the hell out. They (RINOs) want control of centralized power as much as the dems.
