...and by presidential decree:
“of first- and second-generation Americans, who already have critical language and cultural knowledge, and prepare them for careers in the intelligence agencies,”
Why could the people not expect the same when they voted for a president instead of voting in a foreigner? Its a part of due diligence.
At least we could have a president who was capable of making decisions based on the American perspective... and not from the perspective of a third world islamic indonesian schoolboy.

I can’t wait until there is an Obama administration version of team america. That will be funny in a sad, crying in my closet type of way.

Several posters have conjectured that these spies would be aimed at USA targets (and not Muslim terrorist cells either) and I agree. What a nice adjunct to the less intellectually skilled Americorps and ACORN thugs.

Do you honestly think these flaming libs would go against dear leader and think for themselves on behalf of the good of the USA? They HATE the USA.

The guess here is Obamas new spies will be used to spy on Americans not foreign rogue dictatorships. Here's their new insignia
They will be known as the Protective Echelon.

CIA has always actively recruited in colleges and universities. I had a lengthy interview on-campus in 1955 along with some others. My wife nixed the idea.

Cambridge with Kim Philby and others in the early 1930s seems to have led the way.

My CIA/co-op education story. Back in the stone age before everything was on a web page, my college's cooperative education office had a bulletin board full of co-op jobs to select. All but one of them, even the "US Citizenship Required" jobs, required a 3.0 GPA. The only exception was the CIA which required only a 2.5 GPA. Nice to know our nation's intelligence was being handled by B- students who couldn't get a job anywhere else.

"Those courses would include certain FOREIGN LANGUAGES, analysis and specific scientific and technical fields."
Key words are 'FOREIGN LANGUAGES'. That would mean ENGLISH. In order to be a spy for obama's Citizens National Security Force, they would have to learn to speak English. They wouldn't be able to spy on Americans in this country if all they could speak was Ebonics, Spanish, and that ghetto gutter crap.

He’s turning America into his own socialist hell hole. What scares me the most is that college kids are so taken in by his BS that they will do anything for him. They think he walks on water.

The Obamaloon administration doesn’t need spies. They already know all the answers.
To: joesjane
The CIA already does plenty of recruiting at colleges.
Still, this could be a good idea. I know there are plenty of bright students who are patriotic and want to serve, but may not be up for the physical training of the military.

The CIA was recruiting when I graduated. They were looking for EE grads which left me out. I think Raytheon was there also, they were looking for EEtechs to babysit counter battery radar just below the 39th parallel in S Korea. I don't think they had many takers either.
