Mexico Drug Charges Against 7 Mayors, 20 Officials

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: June 19, 2009

MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Mexico levied organized crime and drug charges Thursday against seven mayors, the former state attorney general and 19 other officials in the western state of Michoacan for allegedly aiding a drug cartel.

Three other mayors detained in raids across the state May 26 have not been charged, but will continue to be held pending investigations, officials said.

The seven mayors are the largest group of Mexican elected officials arrested on drug charges in recent memory. They and the other suspects charged will be taken to a federal prison in the Pacific coast state of Nayarit to await trial.

Federal Attorney General Eduardo Medina-Mora alleged the officials charged Thursday helped the La Familia drug cartel.

''These 27 people took advantage of and misused their public office to carry out acts that favored and helped the drug trafficking activities of the criminal organization known as La Familia,'' Medina-Mora said.

He did not provide details on the charges, but officials have said the suspects allegedly leaked sensitive information to the drug gang.

“No worse than our Democrats here.”

Consider the percentages: 7 mayors, 20 officials.

This could surpass Illinois, maybe even Detroit!

No question about it. Mexico is a failed state and has been for a long time. America has been a safety valve that supports the fifteen families that really control the tremendous wealth of that nation.

Those people care absolutely nothing about the impoverished peons who are so desperately poor that they literally risk their lives to cross deserts and illegally violate the national sovreignty of this country. Obviously there are politicians on both sides of the aisle in Washington who support the wave of illegal aliens receiving amnesty and changing the very nature of America.

Those 21 million or more peons represent a voting bloc that will have a serious impact on our political system. The Democrats believe that that those legitimized aliens will be voting the Democratic ticket. They are probably right.

It was bizarre to watch the way that George W. Bush and the upper echelon of the Republican Party pulled out all the stops in attempting to force amnesty for illegal aliens on the American people. When the people, including Republicans and Democrats, caused the Senate phone systems to crash while protesting amnesty, the open bordes people said that they would make Bush pay for not getting amnesty past the American people.

Something stinks. Both Parties are playing an inside game that does not have the well being of the American citizens as a goal. Republicans and Democrats have sold the American people out. None of them are any good.

Just because your Mayors, Police Chiefs, State Police .....ARE.. the drug cartels...doesn’t mean NAFTA taking jobs, illegals taking jobs, Americans not being armed in Mexico or allowed to own property and treated like political scum and all of it supported by Democrats and Republicans...hasn’t been a great success.

Nothing happens in this world without somebody getting rewarded. Nothing.

As the Romans used to ask, “Who benefits?”

We’ve got Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Atlanta, Oakland, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington, D.C., Boston, Cleveland, St. Louis, Memphis, etc, etc, ect,...and we’re being critical of crime and corruption in Mexico!

The lunacy of it all!
