Senator Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.,demanded Brigadier General Michael Walsh to call her "Senator" instead of "ma'am". Senator James Inhofe, R-Ok, on the other hand, was addressed as "sir" by General Peter Pace on January 16, 2007. Unlike Ms. Boxer, Mr. Inhofe did not lecture the General over the issue of calling him "sir".

I fail to understand what dives this petty issue! I don't care what you think of the bitch, the office of senator has it's privilege. And in our country the military answers to the legislature. Some of you need to get a grip!!

With any luck at all, nobody will have to call her Senator after her next run for the Senate. We can only hope!

My God, did you see that video? In addition to the obnoxiousness of what she did - did you see her chomping on that gum like some kind of snotty junior high kid in a government hearing? Did she ever hear of professionalism?

Saw the video. She is void of professionalism. She wants to repeal the don’t ask policy. It’s a way for her to undermine the military by getting the BG to call her senator. She never worked an honest day in her life. Her voice is annoying and everything else about her.

You are so right about the jr. high gum chewing. Lucky for us she wasn’t popping it.

If I ever met her, I would address her accurately as congresswoman.

In this country the military reports to the executive branch. Some of you need to read the Constitution.

Did not say anything about reports did I. The people who pass the budget are direct representatives of the people.

“answers to” doesn’t imply “reports”? Try again.

Here is the deal. Anyone can qualify to be a senator.......However it takes tons of money and backstabbing to get there. To be a general requires insane levels of intelligence, many years of experience and a lot of respect from Superiors to make it through the selection process.

Wrong, reports to is a military term as in chain of command, does not apply to civilians control of the military.

If that is not true tell the generals, don't show up for any more called hearings, and watch the manure hit the ventilation system.

Did you notice that the little c....(rhymes with runt) didn't return the courtesy by calling in Gen. Walsh “General”.
