One of the steps is to make an example of one powerful person, so the others will back off.
Haven’t read that particular book, but I have read other historical accounts of the tactics used by the communists and the fascists. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Obama and his cronies are doing this same thing in other ‘venues’ as well(as you know).
