Iran and Russia nip at US global dominance

Members urge non-dollar currency

At the SCO summit, and a subsequent Yekaterinburg meeting of the leaders of the emerging BRIC economic tigers – Brazil, Russia, India, and China – Mr. Medvedev pressed his case for a "supranational currency" to replace the US dollar in global economic transactions and called for greater employment of local currencies in trade among SCO members.

"There can be no successful global currency system if the financial instruments that are used are denominated in only one currency," Medvedev said. "Today this is the case, and that currency is the dollar."

At the summit, China offered $10 billion in aid to crisis-stricken Central Asian states. That comes on top of $7.5 billion Russian assistance package pledged last winter to regional states. Critics argue that such help often comes with political strings attached, as when Kyrgyzstan ordered the US to vacate its military airbase at Manas just hours after being granted $2 billion by Moscow in February.

"Central Asian countries are very pragmatic. They judge their partners on the basis of what they are doing," says Gennady Chufrin, a foreign policy adviser to the official Russian Academy of Sciences. "China and Russia are doing a lot. Compared with a decade ago, Russia is far more active, in a tangible way, in helping to deal with the economic weaknesses of central Asian countries."

When it comes to ‘nipping’ at U.S global dominance, the Russians and Iranians will have to take a back seat to Il Douche, who seems hell bent on reducing us to the Third World he grew up in, believes in, and identifies with.

Are you an idiot Medvedev? If you change the American dollar for another, like an international dollar (based on what? controlled by which crooks?), These financial markets would still be dominated by ONE currency, a currency based on nothing but thin air. And worse, run off the printing press like monopoly money by all those oh so honest people in the UN..

Yes, you ARE an idiot Medvedev

You know what you see and you are right! His formulative years were spent at the local mosque. Its sad and unfortunate that Captain JackBarrack Sparrow pirated American politics -at the very last moment- with ALL the Americans asleep. They didn’t recognize before the fact what he stood for. It still ain’t outta the bag. Flippin Manchurian. It will take years to clean up his mess that he is creating.

Those Russians? They missed the industrial revolution for many reasons. Their future will continue to be consistent with their past. The FREE western industrialized nations are that for a reason. Nobody has that history.

Only one problem, some foreigner wants to deny us of our past and in doing so , draw the key man and the west to its knees.

Yeah manchurian - give us a birth certificate.

Lately, I’ve been reminiscing about the Clinton era.
Remembering when bad news was mostly reported on Fridays.

Let’s not forget China and the Islamic monolith. And there are plenty in the EU who would love to see us fall flat on our Obama grease-painted clown faces. In all likelihood, they’ll all get their wish in the coming three-and-a-half years.
