Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday the world needs new reserve currencies.

Medvedev told a regional summit that the creation of new reserve currencies in addition to the dollar is needed to stabilize global finances.

Medvedev has made the proposal before. It reflects both the Kremlin's push for greater international clout and a concern shared by other countries that soaring U.S. budget deficits could spur inflation and weaken the dollar.

Airing it at a summit meeting underlined the challenge to U.S. clout.

The BRICs are playing a game with our currency.

Yesterday, Russia said the dollar was the reserve; no doubts.

Zero’s policy has trashed the buck and the enemies of the US are making good use of Zero’s inability to govern anything, much less the world’s economic policies.

Weakness projected by this truly ineffectual, inexperienced president is like blood in the water.

He also proposed revising the way the International Monetary Fund's obligations are valued. He said the ruble, the yuan and gold should be part of a revised basket of currencies to form the valuation of the IMF's special drawing rights, or SDRs.

That's what they really want. Right now the IMF's money is just another means to prop up the dollar. The other ways to do it derive from the benefits of empire. OTOH, you have North Korea printing up dollars in an attempt to bash the dollar and buy some stuff. But that is just spit in the ocean. It is foolish to bet against the dollar.

Using Obama’s extreme popularity to mask the real intentions of his handlers.

Now where did that 9 trillion dollars go?
