Could be that Reagan was a leader. We are lacking this in both parties.

We can fight the Abortion battle as a cultural war instead of a political war. If we win the culture war, we will de facto win the political war. I'm vehemently pro-life, and I've said for a very long time now that we cannot win the abortion battle politically. It just isn't going to happen that way.
Abortion is a matter of the HEART. Only when we win the hearts of the majority on this issue, will things change.
First their hearts, then their minds. Finally their politics.
I don't see your post as being very far from my own thoughts on this issue, correct me if I'm wrong.

If my memory is correct Reagan squeaked that one out. I hope you were being sarcastic, as Reagan won the 1984 election in a 49 state blowout of Walter "I'm going to raise your taxes" Mondale.

the pillars of Reagan's economic program were:
-reducing tax rates on individuals and businesses
-controlling federal spending
-reducing and making more reasonable federal regulations
-reducing inflation and ultimately interest rates by controlling the money supply and balancing the budget
-eliminating and terminating wage, price, and allocation controls (1)

Now, Mr. Daniels observes, I think its spreading.I think what's spreading is the conviction that Mitch Daniels will not be the Republican nominee for the presidency in his life time.

Yeah the lefty fools with minimum intelligence know their big project to destroy our constitutional government is likely to blow back and destroy the Left for the forseeable future. IMO the turn has started and the Stste Media has felt this...they will pull their oars with all their strengthes to keep Congress from turning over in 2010...I think they will FAIL!

We must do both, but WE, MUST NOT give up on the political war against abortion, either.
If I do that then, then I am no better than a democrat, or democrat-in-sheep’s-clothing-RINO.
