I regret having to listen to Letterman on these talk programs, considering I have never watched him because I never found him funny.

Mike is talking about sissy boy Shep Smith and his hissy fit about conservatives.

Shep Smith was arrested in 2001 after an altercation with another journalist over a parking place. Allegedly, a female journalist was saving a parking spot for someone and Smith backed into her car and yelled an obscenity to a group of bystanders. All charges against him were later dropped.
