Letterman is scum, pond scum. And to remain a stinking floater on the surface of the pond, the scum must renew it’s stench to attract the bacteria which make it bouyant. If what Letterman said is deemed ‘a joke’, you can bet the bacterium has no other purpose than to bouy up the stench. Watch for that excuse—’it was a joke, lighten up’—from the usual bacteria like Carvile, Begala, and Beckel.
